Therefore, through restraint, from the mind, one should recite a million times. Like this, by becoming accustomed to resting the mind in the true state of formless yoga, one can temporarily obtain the result of achieving the body of a vidyādhara, etc. Relying on this basis, practicing the conduct of mantra, ultimately, within five lifetimes, or if slow, within three or one kalpa, one can manifest the state of the four families of Vajradhara. As it is said in the "Important": "Abiding in the state of the four families of Vajradhara." These are the scriptures that explain these, such as the Ornament for Clear Realization and the Vajrapāṇi Empowerment, etc. The third is "Yoga," which means union. The teacher Kunga Nyingpo said, "This Yoga Tantra mainly teaches meditation, therefore, in order to explain the recitation of whatever is pleasing." It is also said in the Condensed Meaning of the Appearance of Suchness, "This Tantra mainly teaches the meditation of samādhi, therefore it is called the Yoga Tantra." As it is said, from the view, truly realizing that all dharmas are the luminous emptiness, the nature of being free from elaboration, and with the blessing of wisdom, visualizing the deity of the conventional Vajradhātu, believing that the result can be achieved through the effort of good and bad thoughts. As it is said in the Stages of the Path, "Since the spontaneously accomplished equality is not realized, all dharmas are the blessing of pure wisdom, the deity manifested from the Vajradhātu, taking and rejecting is the place of karma." Like this, the sequence of meditation connected with the four mudrās, the five abisambodhis and the sequence of the four yogas, visualizing oneself as the deity and retinue, the yoga of means, and manifesting and realizing the true nature of the mind, each abiding equally in the self-aware wisdom, etc., mainly focuses on the inner samādhi. In conduct, relying on external aids such as cleanliness, etc., one can temporarily obtain the result of the ḍākinī vidyādhara, etc. Ultimately, in three or sixteen lifetimes, having accomplished the Mahāmudrā, and then gradually through the five abisambodhis, one attains Buddhahood in the nature of the five wisdoms in the realm of the five families' dense array. As it is said in the All-Creating King, "Yoga, wanting the dense array, is said to be liberated in three lifetimes." These are the scriptures that explain these, such as the Collection of Suchness and the Root Tantra of Supreme Bliss, etc.

These and so on. When distinguished by lineage, there are the root lineages, and the five lineages of Buddha, Vajra, Ratna, Dharma, and Karma, each of which has five minor lineages. That is, essence, mudra, secret mantra, and vidya mantra are divided into four, thus becoming eight. In summary, they can be condensed into two: skillful means and wisdom. Just as uniting these two is called Father, and the One Hundred and Fifty Aspects of the Perfection of Wisdom is referred to as Mother. Secondly, regarding the vehicle of controlling skillful means, or Anuttara Yoga, in the lower three tantras, due to adorning with pure concepts such as acceptance and rejection, abandonment and cultivation, and because skillful means and wisdom are separate, being deluded about the nature of great bliss, etc., these have more similarities with the characteristic vehicle, and therefore are classified as the outer three tantras or lower tantras. This special path is a near path and a tantra of skillful means, because after entering this path of Anuttara Yoga, there is no need to add other vehicles, and solely relying on this one can be joined with the result. In other vehicles, the three poisons are considered to be abandoned, but here, by hammering in the peg of non-referential view, desire becomes bliss-emptiness, hatred becomes clarity-emptiness, and ignorance becomes knowledge-emptiness in nature. The three poisons are not abandoned, but transformed into the path, thus achieving the special state of union in one lifetime, which is a wonderful means. Therefore, the outer three tantras are called the long path. Although generally the mantra path is a quick path, because they must ultimately enter this unsurpassed path, they are called the long path in relation to this vehicle. Furthermore, to symbolize the union of skillful means, self-arisen wisdom, and wisdom emptiness, there is the union of Father and Mother deities, and the yoga of special skillful means such as enjoying the five meats and five amritas, etc., which are very supreme. The Guhyasamaja Tantra says: "Skillful means and wisdom, when equally united, are called yoga. That which is without substance is called wisdom, skillful means is the nature of substance." They are divided into skillful means Father Tantra, wisdom Mother Tantra, and the non-dual union Tantra. When distinguished by lineage, the Father Tantras include those of Akshobhya, Vairochana, and Ratnasambhava.
