Although it is very easy to understand from all the Buddha's words and treatises, only this much has been written here, and no more elaboration is needed. Now, if we divide these teachings into those that need interpretation and those that do not, then these three wheels of Dharma, through methods of varying sizes, purify the coarse, subtle, and extremely subtle adventitious defilements. In terms of purifying the defilements on the sole essence, all three are in agreement. Thus, the first wheel, through impermanence and so on, causes one to renounce samsara and becomes the cause for entering the gate of nirvana. The second wheel, through the three doors of liberation, becomes the antidote to the clinging to characteristics such as the worldly self. The third wheel, through the words of non-retrogression, causes one to comprehend the vast conduct of the Sugata. As it says in the Sutra Requested by the King of Dharani Empowerment: 'Son of lineage, just as a skilled gem cutter who knows well how to polish gems, takes a gem that is not completely clean from the gem mine, soaks it in alkaline water, and then polishes it with hair. Similarly, after that, he soaks it in food juice and polishes it with a woolen cloth. Similarly, after that, he soaks it in the juice of good medicine and polishes it with a thin cotton cloth. Having completely polished it and removed the impurities, it is called a great vaidurya gem. Similarly, for sentient beings, first, he leads them to be tamed with words of impermanence and suffering, which cause renunciation, then he causes them to realize the conduct of the Tathagata with the three doors of liberation, and then he causes them to enter the realm of the Tathagata with the words of the irreversible wheel. Once entered and realized the nature of reality, that is the unsurpassed source of merit.' And so on, it is widely proclaimed in the sutras. Similarly, the division of the three sequences of the Buddha's words into provisional and definitive meanings is also stated in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra: 'The Bhagavan turned the first wheel of Dharma, teaching the four noble truths to those who entered the Hearer Vehicle, which is also unsurpassed.'

It exists, the occasion exists, and it has become the basis for debating the meaning. The Blessed One, starting from the non-self-nature of all dharmas, turned the second wheel of Dharma, which shows emptiness to those who have correctly entered the Mahayana, and that is also supreme, the occasion exists, the meaning that needs to be debated, because the Blessed One, starting from the very non-self-nature of all dharmas, turned the third wheel of Dharma, which has excellent distinctions, is extremely rare and wonderful, for those who have correctly entered all vehicles. The turning of the wheel of Dharma that time is unsurpassed, without occasion, the ultimate meaning, not the basis of debate. In this way, the provisional and definitive meanings are established through various means. The reason for establishing the intermediate wheel as provisional meaning is that in this Dharma wheel, due to necessity, the Tathagata's powers and other ultimate truth qualities, which are not self-empty, are mostly shown as self-empty, and these are not well distinguished, and there is no contradiction in explaining them, so the supreme and so on are proclaimed. In the third, because the conventional dharmas are self-empty and the ultimate truth dharma is empty of others, the nature of these is well distinguished and shown as it is, so it is established in this way for this reason as well. If it is said that because the Prajnaparamita is taught in the intermediate wheel, it is definitive, and conversely, the last wheel is provisional meaning that needs interpretation, this statement has not been well examined. Because the Prajnaparamita, such as unborn, unceasing, and originally peaceful, is most extensive in the last wheel according to its literal meaning, and the extremely profound nature is taught in the Vajrayana. Because of the reason for showing that it is not obvious, obvious, and very obvious, the difference between supreme or not and the existence or non-existence of occasion is proclaimed, but there is no difference in the nature of the Prajnaparamita. Whatever the Tathagatagarbha, the Dharmadhatu, the mind of clear light, the lineage of self-nature purity, the true limit, the emptiness of the nature of non-entity, etc., all that is indicated by infinite names is the self-born non-dual wisdom.
