It is eliminated by the corresponding antidote. As previously stated, without cultivating through the path, the qualities inherent in the base will not manifest. Even if it occurs in the case of sentient beings, it does not become a fault of this doctrine, because sentient beings are not considered Buddhas who are free from all obscurations. Similarly, there are two types of realization: the self-arisen innate wisdom, which is realized from the beginning by the nature of reality itself, and the other-arisen wisdom, which is realized by the power of the path and meditation. The first is: the ultimate nature of reality, the wisdom that realizes it, the self-arisen innate wisdom of individual awareness, which is characterized by being beyond the world. As it is said, "Knowing oneself, knowing others, knowing all; all-knowing, all-perceiving, most supreme." Thus, both the innate abandonment and realization are complete in their own essence in the ultimate reality. As the venerable Maitreya said, "In this, there is nothing to be removed, nor is there anything to be added. To see reality in reality, seeing reality is liberation." Thus it is. The second realization is: realization through the power of the path and meditation, the lineage of increasing change. By accumulating the collection of wisdom through meditative equipoise and the collection of merit in the post-meditation state, the qualities are ultimately manifested through the power of abandonment, which is designated as the non-deceptive perfection. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras, "Although there is no difference between the former and the latter, that which is without the stains of all obscurations, suchness is considered the Buddha." Thus it is. In this regard, the way in which the conventional is empty of its own nature and the ultimate is empty of other nature is taught in the middle and later turnings of the wheel of dharma as is appropriate. In particular, the way in which the wisdom of the emptiness base, the Sugata-garbha, is inseparable from clarity, is extensively taught in the collections of the final wheel of dharma. And when it is said that all phenomena are merely appearances of the mind, some previous teachers, due to necessity, affirmed the mind as ultimate. Therefore, the Mind-Only school, which is now known as one of the four major schools, arose. However, the intention of the meaning was not fully understood. That is, the mind that is said to be the mere appearance of all phenomena is sometimes considered to be the alaya-vijnana, and sometimes it is considered to be the perfected nature of reality. There are two situations. If it is considered from the former perspective, then the objects and subjects of delusion are all conventional.

Therefore, since it is impossible for there to be permanent things, the ultimate truth was not spoken. In the Sutra of the Ornament of Wisdom Light, it says: Sharadvatiputra, what is called mind is the various consciousnesses of mind and intellect, as well as intellect, the body of intellect, the faculty of intellect, and the realm of intellect. This is what is called mind. So, what is emptiness? Sharadvatiputra, mind is empty of mind, and there is no agent in it. If there were any agent in it, then what he did would be like being experienced by another. Mind also does not manifestly gather mind. And so on, it was said. Although it is said that all dharmas are merely appearances of the mind, there is no instance of it being spoken of as the ultimate truth. Rather, the wisdom that transcends all mind, intellect, and consciousness is shown as the ultimate truth. In the Noble Lankavatara Sutra, it says: Because of mind, intellect, the various consciousnesses of intellect, discrimination, and non-mentation, one will obtain forbearance of the unproduced dharma. Great Wisdom, in order to teach the dharma that is without characteristics and devoid of discrimination, there is no order or connection of order for this ultimate truth. It also says: Mind and intellect and various consciousnesses, mentation and discrimination are abandoned, having obtained the dharma of discrimination, the Shravakas are princes. From the difference of the Buddha-field and forbearance, the Tathagata's wisdom is good. And so on, it was said. Furthermore, anyone who speaks of the Mind-Only tenet, if they think that the ultimate truth is not separate from consciousness, then that is the defiled consciousness that is the object of samsara, because it cannot transcend the world. And the ultimate truth is the unpolluted realm of reality, and the wisdom free from obscurations that realizes it, is the self-awareness of each of the noble ones, having the nature of transcending the world. The difference between these two is stated in the Mahayana Sutra: Great Wisdom, wisdom is of three kinds, namely, worldly, transworldly, and the supreme transworldly. Of these, what is born and perishes is consciousness, and what is unborn and imperishable is wisdom. Furthermore, Great Wisdom, falling into characteristics and non-characteristics, falling into existence and non-existence, and
