Like the all-pervading sky, the stainless realm of the mind's nature, similarly pervades all. This is the determination of the general characteristic, and the ultimate quality is all-encompassing. Like the sky, it is present in inferior, intermediate, and superior forms of matter. As it is said. So, what are the three states mentioned above? It is the essence of the mind itself, distinguished by whether it is free from the defilements that obscure it, thus dividing into samsara and nirvana. As it says: Those covered by the net of afflictions are definitely called sentient beings. When they are free from afflictions, they are called Buddhas. As it is said. And those three states are also, ordinary beings obscured by the great darkness of obscuration, have only a small portion of qualities. From the power of clearing the defilements of the essence, and the magnitude of the power of the antidote, gradually becoming thinner, therefore the Arhat qualities of Hearers and Solitary Realizers are superior. And because they have not abandoned all that is unknown, those who have become superior, the Bodhisattvas who have attained the Bhumis, appear superior. Therefore, the Buddhas who are free from all obscurations appear superior. Therefore, the ultimate truth of the realm, the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas, the lower three noble ones, do not see reality as it is. Abiding on the paths of accumulation and preparation, they only have the belief of mental speculation, and do not see it directly. In the paths of seeing and meditation, they only see one aspect. However, through that path, just as a child sees the sunlight on the eaves, they do not see the sun that pervades everything. Similarly, regarding the qualities of the realm, they only see a portion, and there is no opportunity to see it completely. Because it is not the object of speech, because it is encompassed by ultimate truth. Because it is not the place of realization, because it transcends metaphors, and even the noble mothers cannot conceive of it. As it is said. In the state of Buddhahood, one directly sees what the nature is, and thus fully and completely sees it. In the commentary on the Uttaratantra, it says: Like the sun in the sky when clouds dissipate, here, you are a person with partial wisdom. Even the noble ones with pure wisdom eyes have not completely and thoroughly seen it. Blessed One, you are the one with a pure Dharmakaya and infinite wisdom. The knowable is infinite, pervading the sky, those.

As it is said, "All-seeing." Thus, the realm of sentient beings, its Dharmadhatu nature is luminosity, existing as its own nature, therefore sentient beings accumulate the two accumulations and eliminate the two obscurations, and become Buddhas. If it is said: Is it like that? It is not like that either, for the reason that there are two kinds of abandonment: naturally pure and adventitiously free from defilements. The first is complete from the beginning in the essence of the Dharma nature. It is not exhausted by an antidote, and its own essence is from the very beginning the nature of great purity, abiding in this without change. In the Sutra of the Ornament of the Appearance of Wisdom, which enters the realm of all Buddhas, it says: "Manjushri, because the mind is naturally luminous, it is exhausted by all adventitious afflictions, but it is not naturally completely afflicted. Whatever is naturally luminous is itself without complete affliction. For that which is without complete affliction, there is no antidote by which to abandon complete affliction." And in the Twenty-Five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra, it says: " कौशिका (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思: कौशिका), what do you think? Is there any sentient being born or ceasing therein?" It is said: "Venerable Subhuti, there is not. Why is that? Because sentient beings are completely pure from the very beginning." And again, in the same sutra, it says: "Form, because of its naturally luminous nature, is completely pure and without complete affliction. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, because of their naturally luminous nature, are completely pure and without complete affliction. Up to the All-Knowingness, because of its naturally luminous nature, it is completely pure and without complete affliction." And so on, extensively taught. And, "Because the nature is completely pure, because the afflictions are exhausted from the beginning." And so on. Therefore, because it transcends the Dharma of consciousness and is definitely liberated from all obscurations, the abandonment of nature is complete from the beginning in the ultimate Dharma nature. Therefore, wherever there is Dharma nature, there is also abandonment, because the perfection of Dharma nature is itself naturally pure. The second abandonment is: the adventitious obscurations.
