By upholding the supreme Victor's Dharma in times of decline, One possesses an exceedingly अतिसुन्दर (Sanskrit Devanagari: अतिसुन्दर, Sanskrit Romanization: atisundara, Chinese literal meaning: extremely beautiful) form, endowed with wisdom, And is highly revered in the human world. Praised by kings, scholars, and wise individuals. Thus it is said, among those thousand Buddhas, And hundreds of millions of Buddhas, In as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges, More excellent than honoring them for that many kalpas, Is that, in times of the decline of the sacred Dharma, Spoken by the Protector of the World, Whoever upholds it day and night, Their merit is especially supreme. In times of the decline of the Dharma, one who upholds the Dharma, All the Buddhas of the past, And those in whom the wisdom of the Buddhas abides, That one makes offerings to me. When the sacred Dharma is in decline, Protecting the Teacher's doctrine, In hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, That one will never decline. They will experience the happiness of the body, And will not be afflicted by illness, Nor will they be robbed or harmed. If one protects the Teacher's doctrine, They will be endowed with perfect patience, And will be tame, clear, and gentle, And will be loving towards all beings. By upholding the supreme Victor's Dharma in times of decline, One obtains happiness and joy, and their treasures increase greatly. They will obtain the merit of past service, And will completely abandon all eight unfavorable conditions. By upholding the supreme Victor's Dharma in times of decline, Just as the sky is filled with stars, They are always adorned with names, And possess a delightful and pleasing voice. By upholding the supreme Victor's Dharma in times of decline, Wherever there is no happiness and great suffering, They will abandon that base lineage. They will be wealthy, extremely happy, and possess enjoyment. By upholding the supreme Victor's Dharma in times of decline, They will be endowed with power, strength, and diligence, And those who are not base will travel everywhere. The one with the ten powers, the god of gods, whoever explains this sutra well before him, this kind of sutra will be obtained in the hands of that person in the future. Similarly, in the Sutra Requested by Sagaramati, whoever upholds the True Dharma of the Tathagata, their benefits will increase in many ways, and only a portion of them will be mentioned. It is like a drop of water from the ocean. Upholding the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata is making offerings to the Tathagata. The Victorious Ones regard the holder of the treasury as trustworthy, and they make offerings to the Buddhas in the ten directions. Many fields seen by the Buddha's eyes are filled with precious jewels and offered to the Tathagata. Even at the end of time, it is not like upholding the Dharma, and the accumulation of merit cannot increase in this way. Arguing about worldly affairs, one will never be liberated from worldly activities. Whoever seeks the Dharma that transcends the world, that wise person will transcend the Dharma of the world. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will be embraced by all the Victorious Ones, gods, nagas, non-humans, and by merit and wisdom. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will be mindful, wise, and intelligent. They will have vast wisdom and be endowed with all kinds of knowledge. The wise will abandon afflictions with habitual tendencies. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will not encounter the faults of demons. They will have no regret or doubt, no bondage or slightest obscuration. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will never be born in a thousand worlds. In every lifetime, they will see the Victorious Ones, and having seen them, they will have great faith in them. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will remember that their own nature is the great Dharma. They will repeatedly obtain ordination, practice purely, and make accomplishment the essence. Whoever upholds the Holy Dharma of the Tathagata will practice the Noble Dharma through discipline and learning.
