From the Madhyamaka Jewel Lamp by Master Bhāviveka: Consciousness does not abide anywhere, does not think of anything, and has no mind for anything. Also, as explained by the Venerable One regarding the intention of the noble Nāgārjuna, when abiding in the calm abiding and insight of equipoise free from conceptualization, it is explained with the example of fire produced by vigorously rubbing two pieces of wood together. Consciousness does not think of anything, does not grasp anything, and abandons all memory and attention, etc., which is extensively explained. In accordance with this, it is also explained in all three stages of Kamalaśīla's Stages of Meditation, which is a well-known topic among the Svātantrika Madhyamikas. Whether it agrees with the Heshang or not, it has already been admitted that it agrees. Dzogchen asserts that self-arisen awareness, the very nature of insight, is ascertained as the wisdom of individual realization. Therefore, taking this as the basis for meditation, one abides in the nature of reality free from conceptualization, and in that state of non-conceptualization, one abides without deviation in the state of great liberation. As it says in the Uttaratantra: The limit of self-nature Great Perfection, all phenomena are left in their own place. Since appearance and awareness, the nature of reality, are united, primordial liberation is immediately established. Intention transcends the mind, and appearances are purified in their own place. The limit of emptiness and essence is liberation, cessation of movement, without conceptualization, cessation of mind, beyond the mind. Thus. Because of not understanding in this way, merely indulging in conceptual proliferation, not touching the nature of insight, and with the mind and mental factors ceasing, what appears to be merely emptiness is taken as an object, obscured by the grasping mind accompanied by attachment, and becomes a great view of imperishability and arising. As it says in the Sutra of Clearing Away All Bad Destinies: Light Protector, relying on emptiness by focusing on emptiness, that is a great degeneration from my scriptures. Light Protector, it is easier to abide with the view of self as Mount Meru, but it is not so to view emptiness with the pride of realization. The Teacher himself has clearly stated this. Even so, for the time being, Nāgārjuna also said: Without relying on conventions, the ultimate meaning cannot be realized. Having said this, if one thinks that it is necessary to realize by relying on the analysis of refutation and establishment, that is not so. Because the understanding of that quote is,

It is only stated that it is necessary to understand initially by relying on the way of what is said and what can be said, but it is not said that it is absolutely necessary to analyze and understand with the wisdom of speculation. Therefore, just as it is denigrated by various names such as "That is a speculator, distinguishing like a taste," it is plunged into the dangerous situation of speculation, circling on the rocky mountain of refutation and establishment, throwing the self-abiding wisdom into the path of superimposition and defamation. Assuming that the two extremes are eliminated by mental analysis, it is as difficult to reach the reality of Dharma as a worm binds itself with its own saliva, because the Dharma nature is inconceivable and cannot be expressed in words. And words abide in the nature of conceptual imputation. As it is said in the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*: "The object of individual self-awareness is the characteristic, inexpressible and completely ceased of terms, free from dispute is the ultimate Dharma, that is the characteristic that transcends all speculation." Therefore, here, the three ways of abiding of the Great Perfection of self-nature are used to nail down, the three ways of viewing are used to suppress the place, and through the path of the six lamps, the Dharma nature, which is free from mental deliberation, is directly seen, so the difference in the path is like heaven and earth. As it is said in the *Sgra Thal 'Gyur*: "The meaning of the holy one is from being free from mind, the senses are simultaneously naturally liberated, with the key point of direct seeing, one's own established end collapses, without attachment or grasping to anything, tasting the flavor of the true Dharma nature, without the basis of the three realms of samsara, like space dissolving into space, the supreme yoga is also like that." As it is said. Considering these reasons, Sakya Paṇḍita said, "The view of Atiyoga is also wisdom, but not a vehicle." Although it is well explained as wisdom from the perspective of realizing the reality of the profound view without confusion, it is said that it is not suitable as a vehicle, which is meaningful. The wisdom contained in the ground of Śrāvakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas relies on being incomplete, slightly complete, and completely complete, and the classification of the four noble ones and the order of the vehicles are established. As it is said in the *Uttaratantra*: "Inferior form and intermediate, superior like space." The analogy of space in good and bad vessels without good and bad illustrates the magnitude of the power of eliminating obscurations.
