It is said that because he cut off his tongue, his tongue is now a little uncomfortable. Also, a deer (Sanskrit: kṛṣṇasāra) and a sage at Mount Gangaar, turned into a parrot, and the sage taught it the vidyā-mantra, so it gained knowledge and power. At another time, there was a lake on the east side of that mountain, and a kind nāga lived in the lake. To the south of that nāga, there was also a black, malicious nāga, and before it could harm sentient beings, it launched a war against the white nāga, coming with terrifying illusions, and the white nāga sought refuge with the parrot. The parrot looked in the direction of the malicious nāga, recited the vidyā-mantra and flapped its wings, and the malicious attendants and their retinue were immediately destroyed. After that, in the western part of India, a Brahmin pandita obtained the power of mantra, thereby controlling the ḍākinīs, and he was called Ratnaśīla. In the south, there was a king's lineage pandita named Youthful Lion, who had great knowledge of mantra. After that, the great pandita Sumati Kīrti, or another name Nepal Pentapa, became a true disciple of glorious Nāropa. He was the first to obtain the empowerment of the Mahāmudrā wisdom lineage, and had great knowledge of all the tantras. In particular, he attained the siddhi of Hevajra. Lhodrak Marpa Lotsawa also regarded Nāropa as a guru of great kindness. At the end of his life, the king of Minyak invited him, and he went to that kingdom, giving the king many empowerments and so on, and did great benefit. Then, the king of Kītan also invited him, and because the Dharma had not previously spread there, he caused the entire kingdom to convert to the Dharma, and caused the king to rule the country according to the Dharma. He gave the Hevajra empowerment to the king and his retinue, and all those who were designated as yidams practiced, and it is said that there was no one who did not obtain some kind of siddhi. Then, when he went to an island in the ocean, great signs such as sounds and lights appeared, and he showed the manner of passing away. It is said that after that, he did not experience other bardo states, but resided on the crown of his father's head, and then entered his mother's womb. This great being took birth in this way. This holy one belongs to the Zachu (Yalong River) in the Dokham Bubor Gang region.

Nearby, Je Phagmo Drupa's sibling, Je Phagdru Me Sho Emo, now known as Serkhang, was born, so this Je should also have been born nearby. In short, the clan is Ga, the father is Tsangpa Pel Drak, and the mother is Tsangmo Rinchen Gyen, as their son, he was born in the Water Male Tiger year. This refers to Je Khampa Chenpo or Phagdru XIII's Water Tiger year. At seventeen, he went to Ü (Lhasa). In Phenyul, he was ordained by Lama Jangchub Senge, and his name was Sherab Senge. From the Abbot of Nak, through the lineage of the Lower Vinaya, he received full ordination and became proficient in Vinaya. From Zur Drophugpa Chenpo's heart-son, named Zamton Drowai Gonpo, he heard the teachings on the Guhyagarbha Tantra and the Mind Section, becoming extremely proficient in these areas. There was one lama between Je Drophugpa and Kathogpa. In the Fifth Dalai Lama's record of teachings, it is said that Kathogpa himself visited Drophugpa. The name Zamtonpa is derived from the place name. If we examine the biography of Je Karmapa Dusum Khyenpa, it can be confirmed that it is near Kampo Ne. There, a disciple of his, Togden, recognized a reincarnation, who was known as Zam Kyewa Sumpa. In addition, there was Zamton Sangye, and a monk residing in Zam's Pangphug who saw Je Dusum Khyenpa as Avalokiteśvara, so the Zam area was known for good meditation. Pavo Tsuklak also recorded this in agreement. Some now refer to it as Dam Pangphug. From Ra Lotsawa's disciple, Kam Lotsawa, he learned the ten great Chakrasamvara Tantras, and from Chokro Lotsawa, he learned the Later Phagmo and the Compendium of Vows. From Kam Chokyi Yeshe, he learned the Hevajra teachings. From Go Lotsawa's disciples, Longton Dorje Nyingpo and Bodhi Zhangton, he learned the Guhyasamaja Tantra. From the disciples of these two, Latö Pelgyi Wangchuk, he learned the Commentary on the Lamp and the Yamantaka teachings. From Je Dusum Khyenpa, he heard the Chakrasamvara initiation sequence, Mahamudra, and the instructions on the Six Yogas of Naropa. He was made the supreme heart-son of Je Use, and in general,

Now, this great being, in his many lifetimes, had Manjushri as his spiritual friend, and therefore he was without attachment to all that is knowable, abiding in the state of omniscient wisdom. There was almost nothing he did not hear, contemplate, and meditate on in the general teachings of Sutra and Tantra, and especially the Vajrayana, which was translated into the land of Tibet both earlier and later. Dzamton Rinpoche said, "If you go to the place of Kampo and engage in practice, there will be one who attains rainbow body. If you go to Kathok, there will be one who extensively propagates the teachings." Keeping only the propagation of the teachings in his heart, he went in search of the place called Kathok. First, he arrived at Kathil, and there he asked the children who were herding livestock where Kathok was, and the children said, "It's up there!" He considered the livestock there to be the auspicious connection for those to be tamed, and the herders to be the auspicious connection for disciples. Then, in the earth-hare year, in a place where the land resembled the Tibetan letter "ཀ", when the main temple for establishing the monastery was being built, the stone spirit Nyenma Bu, who resided in the Bon mantras, manifested in real form and created obstacles in various ways. The master, patron, and three disciples chased after it, and it disappeared into a bat cave. Dharma Lord Tsangton bound it with his Dharma robes and led it out. The master whipped it with his hand and drove it away. He drove it to the river at the bottom of the valley, and now that place has become a manifest place. Eight Bonpos performed evil mantras, and Pal Lhamo caused the rock of the practice chamber to collapse and fall on them. The master drew a cross on it with his hand, meaning that eight bats had fallen. Like that, he established the foundation of the Dharma and resided there with countless signs of accomplishment. Disciples gathered from as far as the Amdo region in the east, and the Tsawarong and Lomon regions in the south. He mainly taught the Great Perfection and the explanations, transmissions, and empowerments of the Secret Essence Tantra, and he elaborated on the tradition of the glorious Zurpa lineage and the Sutra of the Collected Intentions, among all the great and small commentaries of India and Tibet. In addition, he taught the Manjushri Illusion Net and other tantras, and in the Sutra aspect, he taught the vast treatises of Maitreya Buddha and the Engaging in the Bodhisattva's Deeds, among many other things. In short, he laid the foundation for the secret mantra teachings in the Dokham region. Age
