Saying he was a blessed lama, they showed great faith and served him greatly. Lama Zhang said, "Your monastery does not have abundant water and trees, but it will gather many people and benefit beings, so it should be called 'Dharma Seat'." There, the people said, "Listen to the lama of the temple, serve the gardener." That lama of the temple completely pacified jealousy from the root, sending about twenty loads of grain and butter, saying, "You invite a good lama to establish the Dharma wheel, and I must also support it, but I have no other means." The words of those ignorant ones were cut short. He said, "I myself have developed new faith in the old lama." As the time for activity arrived, countless disciples gathered. He performed great deeds for the benefit of beings. Being extremely respectful to the lama, he upheld the principles of the three satisfactions, and never left his presence without placing his feet on his head. He offered unimaginable Dharma and wealth, led by the three kinds of gold rituals, extensive, medium, and concise, and seventeen sets of extensive sutras. As blessings entered, he realized his intentions as they were. Realization and liberation occurred simultaneously, and he was able to walk unhindered through all lands, stones, and mountains, and non-humans circumambulated the temple. There are many stories of his possessing clairvoyance. When he resided in Dalong Monastery in Zaphu, his body merged into the wall, and he passed through the wall unhindered in Rakshasa Mountain, possessing many miracles. In this snowy mountain range, he went to all places and led many beings to the path of liberation. In the activities of propagating the Dharma, he built supports for body, speech, and mind, repaired what was broken, and provided materials for others to build, understanding how to practice the meaning of the six perfections. He served all the translators and pandits who came from India. He lifted up the feet of the great spiritual friends who held the Tripitaka. He never focused on worldly affairs, but only practiced meditation. He became the benefactor of all poor and destitute beings, thus particularly awakening the Mahayana lineage. Therefore, he gathered all people of different languages, including India, China, and Nepal. He served the Magadha Vajrasana three times. He was the sole ornament of Jambudvipa.

He served Jo Shakya (Atisha) and his disciples four times and built four stone bridges. Later, there were countless virtuous friends who promoted the Dharma, making him an undisputed great being in this snowy land. With such perfect deeds, he directly and indirectly benefited others. During the celebration after the construction of the later stone bridge in Lhasa, some attendants with bad karma fought over alcohol, causing the master to express sadness. At the age of fifty-six, in the Earth Sheep year (1259), he passed away at Gyara Galok Monastery in Sangpu Temple. After cremation, his remains were kept in Gaduk Monastery for four months. Later, at the request of the Tsenpo (ruler), officials, patrons, and disciples, his remains were moved to Gadong Ga Temple, which they considered suitable as a monastery. During the move, the earth shook violently, and lotus trees grew from the spring water, among other miraculous signs. The next day, when the remains were cremated, countless auspicious signs appeared, such as sounds, lights, rainbows, stupas, and written characters. Only the ruins of that temple remain today. Among Shiwo's disciples, those who became heart-sons were: Taton Jowo Ye, Maha Lhunpo, Khenpo Jowo Nam, Upa Jowo Sod, Zangton Hor Drak, and Nyerton Lama, six in total. The most important of these was Taton Jowo Ye. His father, named Taton Jowo Bum, was the lord of Yoru Tö (the upper part of Yoru, around present-day Tolung Dechen District in Lhasa), possessing many attendants and lands. He became disillusioned with samsara and fled with four servants. He went to Gyalwa Chowo Riwai, the heart-son of Lhaje Lanni Nyatsalpa. The five, master and servants, entered the Dharma together. He became proficient in the teachings of the Nyingma school, especially the instructions and key points of Dzogchen. He studied Lamdre (Path and Fruit) and Mahamudra (Great Seal) under Phagmo Drupa. From Uton Lama Tsarton, he learned the Doha of the Mahamudra Gang lineage. From Sangdri Drore, he learned the teachings of Rechungpa. From Nangton Gonpo, he learned Yamantaka and Vajrakilaya, among others. In short, he heard teachings without sectarian bias from many lamas. He regarded Gyalwa Chowo Riwa and Phagmo Drupa as his root gurus. He practiced at Chowo Ri, gathering many disciples. His son, Taton Jowo Ye, was born in the Water Sheep year. Later, when he was four years old, his younger brother Jowo Sod was born. This Jowo
