Thus. The delusion itself, at the very moment of delusion, is the obscuration of not knowing one's own nature, the self-power of ignorance, which is the basis of all. Dependent on that is the mind of the alaya-vijnana, and from that arise the six afflictions: from the aspect of wisdom, the delusion of ignorance; from the aspect of the order of generation, the delusion of hatred; from the aspect of view, the delusion of pride; from the aspect of appearance, the delusion of desire; from the aspect of non-realization, the delusion of jealousy, and so on. These afflictions are the mind that follows thoughts, the mind that follows memories, and the discriminations that are the basis of connecting habits and doubts, and from the aspect of grasping objects and things, etc., they are immeasurable, but in the order of discriminations, there are eighty-four thousand. The three poisons are equally divided, there are twenty-one thousand, all of which are the mind-consciousness that arises as a latent aspect, and the five sense consciousnesses arise. When that enters into an object, the continuity of any of the previous six consciousnesses is the object, and the present consciousness is that which grasps that and that aspect in an instant. After that, any of the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and neutrality is called the feeling of touch. Thus, the eighteen realms are divided into three groups of six. The aggregate of atoms, the form aggregate that can be destroyed and broken. The feeling aggregate that experiences and gives rise to craving. The perception aggregate that moves and enters into objects. The formation aggregate that acts and has habits, etc., these five. And the aspect of the object that gives rise to and increases any discrimination, from the continuity outside of its own instant, and the two consciousnesses that grasp that, the six objects of the eye, such as form, arise and increase. And from the aspect of consciousness, the six eye-consciousnesses, such as knowing form as form, arise outside of the instant and can increase in the object, these twelve. And the five sense faculties, such as the eye faculty, which have power over grasping objects. And the mind faculty, which arises from the cause of the colored lord of the first consciousness that distinguishes, these six. Karma also has merit and non-merit, and the three that do not waver. The first is the virtue that produces the happiness of samsara.

Ten, etc. The second is the negative karma that throws one into the lower realms, which is the opposite of that. The third is the karma that throws one into the higher realms. All of these are encompassed by the inner mind, and their appearances and bases are the five great elements encompassed by the outer world, which arise, abide, decay, and become empty, acting as causes, conditions, supports, and objects. From this, the habits of the appearance of objects and the mind increase, and like a dream, the world of the four continents, Mount Meru, and its surroundings, and the five lights of the form realm, self-illuminating like a rainbow, and the formless realm arising from the part of the samadhi of the peak of existence, etc. In short, all the arrangements of the container and its contents, the stable and the moving, encompassed by the three realms, do not appear in the ultimate vision of the noble ones, but are the appearances of the confused minds of sentient beings, like mistaking a mirage for water, and the inverted consciousness of seeing a speckled rope as a snake, which appears due to the power of the grasped and the grasper. As it says in the *Muktāphala-mālā*: "Thus, the various appearances, like seeing a snake on a rope, grasping what is not as that, the inner and outer containers and contents are formed. If one examines it, the rope itself, the container and contents are empty from the beginning, ultimate and conventional are colored. Seeing the snake is true by seeing it, seeing the rope is true as it is. For example, it dwells on high like a bird. The nature of the two truths is just this, the world is only conventional, there is no connection to reality. From the realm of emptiness, all its entities are liberated." And as it says in the *Mañjuśrī's Oral Instruction*: "The phenomena of samsara are like a speckled rope, regarded as non-existent like a snake." As it is said. That is to say, all the appearances of samsara, such as happiness and suffering, high and low, are produced by the three contaminated karmas with universal afflictions, that is, karma-made, karma-transformed, karma-ripened, karma-manifested, and nothing else. As it says in the *Hundred Deeds Sutra*: "The various worlds are born from karma, happiness and suffering are made by karma, when conditions gather, karma arises, karma makes happiness and suffering." And as it says in the *Entering the Middle Way*: "The mind itself produces the world of sentient beings, and all the
