Since it has been entrusted to me, the former Nyang Jangchub Drakpa took a deer to Pukpoche, Yongdzong, and Chimphu, so Nyang was also known as "the one with the deer." Later, at Pukpoche, he said, "I will show you two a spectacle, look!" At that time, when Master Sher Jung and Ba Gom were watching from the left and right, the master in the middle disappeared. While they were marveling at this, a whirlwind one cubit long formed and swirled back and forth. That turned into fire. That also transformed into a vessel for sprinkling water and floated in the water. In a whirlwind state, it turned back into the master himself. In this way, he had mastery over the arising and ceasing of the four elements and said, "After the impurities of the four elements have cleared, it will be like this until the pure essence has not disappeared. Even if wisdom can see the meaning that cannot be meditated upon, if you do not stray from the symbols and protect them, then there is no difficulty in obtaining freedom. It is very important to protect without distraction." After that, one time Ba Gom went to the Balbu forest to gather firewood and saw that his own thatched hut was ablaze with fire. Thinking, 'Did the master accidentally start a fire?' he went to check, but the thatched hut was as before, with no sign of fire. When he asked the master what this was, the master said, "I was abiding in the samadhi of fire. Don't you remember my guru Nyang Jangchub Drakpa?" Another time, he saw water floating in the master's residence. Finally, the master said, "If I am not here, look at the top of Lhari Mountain." After some time, the master did not appear, thinking, 'He has gone to the mountain to relax, he will come tomorrow morning,' but he still did not come. When he went to check, the hat and the Bodhi rosary, etc., were hanging on a juniper tree. The master had passed away into complete nirvana. This is one of the ways of death in the Great Perfection of Naturalness, the death of the sky and the dakinis, and the death of the fire pile and the vidyadharas. When Ba Gom was twenty-four years old, Nyang Sher Jung bestowed the instructions. Ba Gom resided as a lay practitioner, and his name was Yeshe Jangchub, possessing extraordinary realization. He could turn stones into mud.

He acted like a cow. He imprinted his body's image on a rock. At the age of ninety-eight, he passed away without illness. All the nuns did not allow outsiders to view the body, but cremated it in the temple. All the outsiders saw a reddish light rising into the sky. Afterwards, not even a single bone remained. His disciple was Dzeng. His mother, named Yumtsar Gugyi, was a nun from Yarlung Tangchung. The eldest son of Tangchung Tsenpo took her as a wife, and Dzeng was born. At the age of sixteen, he went to Dongnar Tsang in Dol with some fellow travelers. In Tserchung of Dol, he saw many people gathered, and when he went to see, he met the Indian Mahasiddha. For fourteen months, he attended to the Mahasiddha as a servant. When he arrived at Nezhi Sangchen in Tsang, the Mahasiddha gave him a piece of woolen cloth and said, "You have been with him for too short a time, you should return to your homeland. Bring some tsampa from Dakpo. You will be a companion for those going to Dol." So, when Dzeng set out on his return journey, the Mahasiddha called him back. Dzeng grabbed his two feet and said, "Nothing is, only the place has changed. When the place has changed, there is no duality." After saying this, he prostrated twice, and felt surprised in his heart, but his knowledge became clear and bright. It seemed as if there was water in his mouth. That was the blessing of the Mahasiddha. It was prophesied that he would meet the Vajra Bridge, but he said that he did not understand it later. The Mahasiddha gave him some auspicious objects and many key points of mantras. In Gyangru Tsarma, he received the oral instruction of the six-syllable mantra, and after practicing it, he received great blessings. He also prophesied, "To the east of this great river, there is a sandalwood forest. Your lama is there." After that, he went to U-Tsang. He requested Khyungthung and Behar from Akupal, and Kriya and Kabarma's great torma from Nub Shang Poche. He sent them to deliver offerings to Bariwa in Tsang, and Bariwa also requested Manjushri and Khyungsgrub. He requested the Nyingma teachings from Geshe Po. Then, at the age of thirty-five, he went to Changtsik in Ngamshod. At the pass of Pukpoche, a Geshe Tsankapo Che, who had just come from India, was invited by a nun, who said that there was Dharma, food, and divination. When he went there early the next morning, a woman said, "Wearing armor from this roadside..."
