Without vows, vows are broken, and language is not mixed with the sacred Dharma. These are the vows of the Matri, if kept, one is a very faithful person. Protect your own vows, this is the Dharma vow, which the wise should protect. The vows of body, speech, and mind are kept not in words, but in the heart. To keep the vow of body is not to slander the bodies of the Lamas, not to avoid shadows, not to stretch legs casually, not to walk around casually, not to go completely upwards, not to call by name directly, but to call from the direction of the place. Do not violate the commands, do not be drunk or disturbed, not taking medicine is not violating the commands, and should not be violated at any time. This is the vow of body. To keep the vow of mind is to clearly visualize the Yidam deity on whom you rely, and keep it firmly in mind. To keep the vow of speech is to recite the mantra you are practicing without being interrupted by idle talk. Essences should be cherished very much. These three root vows are the life force of the practice. Next are the branch vows, those who wish to practice vows should seek the objects of vows on which to rely, even if they are difficult to find. If the objects of vows for practice are not complete, the vows cannot be fulfilled even if one is close. If the objects of wrathful deities are not complete, the activities cannot be accomplished quickly, and those who break the vows can be destroyed. This is the vow of the Matri, and the vow should be kept as cherished as life. The realm of the Matri's existence is the chapter on power and vows. Then, the praise to the earth deities was spoken.
