The Four Great Kings abide in the manner of naturally protecting the Dharma. The first chapter, the discourse on the formation of the world, is complete. The discourse on the inner world is as follows: The desire realm has twenty abodes, the form realm has seventeen abodes, and the formless realm has four. The divisions of the desire realm are as follows: First, the eight sufferings of hell are: Reviving Hell, Black Line Hell, Crushing Hell, Crying Hell and Great Crying Hell, Hot Hell, Great Hot Hell, and Extremely Hot Hell. These eight hell realms are described as difficult to liberate from. The animal realm is also like this: there are those who dwell and those who are scattered. Hungry ghosts have outer obscurations and inner obscurations. If it refers to the ten evil realms, then the meaning of the ten good realms is as follows: Through the excellence of wisdom and discipline, the fruits of humans and gods ripen. Lifespan and hand length, etc., all change like weapons, initially from immeasurable to ten years of hand length. For the time being, in this teaching, in Jambudvipa (Earth) it is four cubits. The flesh color is blue and the shape is like an onion. The Eastern Continent of Superior Bodies is eight cubits. The flesh color is white and the shape is crescent. The Continent of Cow Usage is sixteen, the shape is round and the flesh color is red. The Continent of Unpleasant Sound is thirty-two, the shape is square and the flesh color is yellow. The six divisions of the gods are: The Four Great Kings are two yojanas, the Thirty-three are four yojanas, the No Strife is one yojana, the Joyful and the Enjoying Emanation are two yojanas, and the Controlling Others' Emanations is two and a half yojanas. The seventeen abodes of the form realm are as follows: Brahma Assembly is the second yojana, Brahma Retinue is the third yojana, Great Brahma is three and a half yojanas, Minor Light is two and a half yojanas, Immeasurable Light is four and a half yojanas, Clear Light is eight yojanas, Minor Virtue is considered sixteen yojanas, Immeasurable Virtue is thirty-two yojanas, Increasing Virtue is sixty-four yojanas, Cloudless is one hundred and twenty-five, Merit Born is two hundred and fifty, Great Fruit is three hundred and twenty, Non-Great is considered a thousand, No Heat is two thousand, Well Seen is four thousand, and Extremely Seen is eight thousand.
