Body radiates light. May all beings be transformed into Bodhicitta. Condensed, it is the great power of body, speech, and mind. May the empowerment of body, speech, and mind be bestowed. From the Great Treatise on the Secret Intent of Kilaya, the Second Chapter on Empowerment. Then, the wrathful Karma Heruka asked the Bhagavan Vajrakilaya, saying: O Bhagavan Vajrakilaya, by the yogi who practices accordingly, Where should one practice? The three mandalas of body, speech, and mind, what are the meanings of these? Having asked thus, Vajrakilaya said: Listen, Karma Heruka, the distinctions of places are explained as follows: The places for practicing the kila are: the charnel ground, under a single tree, at a crossroads, in a steep ravine, and in an empty house. Create the fierce Vajra mandala. It is beneficial for activities, be diligent and forcefully clarify the samadhi. If there are no methods or signs, my body will be destroyed, and there will be obstacles to life and lifespan. In a large forest, there, examine well: the eye of a naga and the street of a bhuta, the obstacle of the earth and an inauspicious place, not an inauspicious land. If you start the basis of activities, because it is a place of auspicious meaning, you will achieve it if you practice for a long time. A flower garden and a jewel mountain, a wish-fulfilling tree and a melodious bird, various grains and good heaven and earth, a good shape and a suitable valley, because it is an auspicious and good place, it is said to be the supreme place. In fierce activities, first, the place for practicing the kila is: a forest mountain with thorny trees, where there are various fierce wild animals. The sky is marked by swords, arrows, and knives, the earth is triangular and like a fire, and there is a charnel ground island on the side. The wise should examine and search, this is the place for practicing the kila. Thorny trees and poisonous trees with ferocity, rocks without cracks, steep and deep ravines, like the teeth of a tiger and the tongue of a snake, like the horns of a scorpion and the mouth of a crocodile, between the butting of a yak and the water of a rock, a one-legged tree and an inauspicious place, this is the place for planting the kila. The place for killing is declared to be: in the past the place of corpses of gods and humans, where war broke out and weapons fought.
