The Seventieth Chapter, the Practice of Prajñāpāramitā, is complete. Listen, Lord of Speech! Prajñāpāramitā, From the practice of cultivating prajñā, When insight becomes predominant, Samatha is weak like a lamp, Moved by the wind, The mind becomes extremely agitated. Thus, contemplate the meaning of the other shore, If realized, it can avert the cycle of afflictions. Remaining in that nature is meaningful. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Play of the Supreme Steed, the Seventy-first Chapter, the Practice of Prajñā, is complete. Then again, the Bhagavan, the King of Power, spoke: Sentient beings, having reached the end of their lives, Falling from the cycle into the lower realms, Perform this power of virtue. After they have reached the end of their lives, While dwelling in the bardo, Either traversing the path of the six realms, Or having gone to the place of hell, Compassionately guiding, thus it is explained. From the heart of Samantabhadra, Radiating five rays of compassionate blessing, Descending and purifying the places of the six realms, With the radiance of the five letters, Gathering and dissolving, becoming a globule. From the clarity of those globules, It is the essence of great wisdom, Abiding in all places, yet not recognized. Without abandoning, purifying in its own place, The teacher is that very Buddha, It is the manifestation of great wisdom. From that, the wisdom of enlightenment, Samsara is also that very nature, Realization is also from that very nature, Walking is also that very nature, Abiding is also that very nature, The ultimate is also that very nature. At the very time of such realization, The meaning of Buddha and sentient beings being inseparable. If that meaning is realized, without walking, enlightenment is manifested. To that, these words are spoken: From the very nature of Samantabhadra, There is no Buddha and no sentient being, There is no heaven and no lower realm, There is no samsara and no nirvana. In the perfect, all-pervading, self-born wisdom, Even if the Buddhas of the three times rise as enemies, There is no grasping and no walking in this. Thus it is said. Then again, Vajrapani Bodhisattva said to the teacher: Alas, great King of Power! All sentient beings whose lives are taken, If they are all enlightened from the beginning, There is no walking, that is the basis. Experiencing misery and suffering, From the cycle of wandering and the lineage of birth, Extremely miserable and distressed, The cause of that
