The Great Tantra of the Play of the Supreme Horse. In Sanskrit: Śrīḥ hayagrīva lalita mahātantra. In Tibetan: The Great Tantra of the Play of the Supreme Horse. Homage to the Bhagavan, Glorious Padma Wangchen Heruka. Thus have I heard at one time. The Bhagavan, the King of Power, the essence of the three times, without exception, without human body, the nature of the lotus, vajra, wheel, and jewel, and the karma family, the master of family and wisdom, who has mastered the magical power of play, from the meaning of the unborn nature of reality, the sign of unceasing miraculous form resides. In the secret place of Akanishta, the great place of power, the place where the Buddhas of the three times have gone, resided, and entered. The substance is precious jewels, and the shape is made of charnel grounds, with different colors and one essence. That is, the palace where wisdom is clear from the expanse, in the great expanse that is all-pervading, the father of the family, the mother of the family, the immeasurable heroes and heroines, and the gatekeepers, including the emanations, in the manner of service and reverence, abide pervading like oil in sesame seeds. In that very mandala of the retinue, the lotus karma hero himself, arising from his own body, speech, and mind, in his very presence, resides as the petitioner with the courage to receive the command. The first chapter, the introduction, from the Tantra of the Play of the Supreme Horse. Then, that great King of Power, with his miraculous eye, pervaded all the dharmas of the three times, the three realms, samsara, and nirvana. Having thus seen, all dharmas are the characteristic of the mind of enlightenment, the nature of great emptiness, and he entered into the samadhi of Suchness, which is beyond words and thoughts. Then, that lotus karma hero arose from his own seat, and to the Bhagavan, the King of Power, he offered various clouds of outer and inner offerings, prostrated hundreds of thousands of times, and with his mind resting in the expanse of dharma, he spoke thus: Alas, Supreme Power, Lord of Secrets, the Suchness meaning of all mandalas.
