In appearance itself, there is no nature, Therefore, how can one's thoughts succeed? Clean and unclean, flesh and blood, In the three times and the six times, Whatever appears as enjoyment or self, Place, body, speech, and sound, Conduct oneself in all activities. Do not abandon the guru, respect the guru, The three secrets and all enjoyments, Four companions, mantras, and sounds proclaimed, Keep extremely secret from those without capacity, Gather samaya substances and guard the secret. Empowerments of body, speech, and mind are also given, Superior, intermediate, and inferior siddhis are accomplished. From the Tantra of Manjushri Marutse, the ninth chapter, which reveals the general essence. Then again, Manjushri Marutse said to glorious Vajrapani: Emaho, how exceedingly wondrous! By the yogi who acts thus, The actions, order, procedures, and The essence of the mantra, please reveal. Which is the mantra for approaching and accomplishing? You have asked for the benefit of beings, excellent! Now I will speak, listen! For those of weak mind, protect the Buddha's teachings! Do not stray from the samaya! I will reveal the essence to you. The root mantra that does not err in cause: In the utterly pure realm of dharma, make the image of compassion Hūṃ (藏文:ཧུ༷,梵文天城体:हु,梵文罗马拟音:hū,汉语字面意思:呼). This is the mantra for the continuous approach.
