From the eight places of burning charnel grounds, transforming gestures and dances into Vajrakila, shaking and singing songs, blowing conches, eating flesh and drinking blood, striking skull cups, being wrathful and fierce, waving black banners, mingling with corpses and eating them in the charnel ground, brandishing wheels and hurling thunderbolts, shouting and wailing, drinking great quantities of blood, displaying smiles, proclaiming terrifying loud sounds, with tongues lolling, vultures with long beaks, etc., possessing immeasurable adornments of burning charnel grounds. The mandala is beyond thought, the great perfection beyond conceptualization, from the non-conceptual sphere of reality, with great compassion, in order to subdue the six realms of beings through skillful means, manifesting the body of a wrathful deity, with three heads and six arms, terrifyingly and fiercely glaring, is the embodiment beyond the extremes of permanence and annihilation, proclaiming the path of liberation through the great mudra. From the Secret Tantra of Manjushri Yamari, the Second Chapter: Manifesting the Mandala of the Body. Then, the Bhagavan, in order to subdue the wicked with the blazing fire of fierce satisfaction, spoke these true words, the secret mantra syllables of Yamari, the King of Wrathful Deities. The mantra for approach, proximity, and continuous practice, possessing the sharp and swift weapons of wrath, this is the root of the life force of gods and demons. Do not be distracted, with the absorption of samadhi, do not waver, do not wander, with meditation, facing the southern direction, sitting on a cushion of kusha grass, contemplate and meditate on the body of Yamari, not fast, not slow, similarly, the syllables not mixed, speak very clearly and purely. A rosary of wish-fulfilling jewels, the form is syllables, the essence is deity, the nature is emptiness, the power is fire. It is the very essence of Yamantaka.
