This is how the perfection was taught: merely by the complete purification of all desires, all hatred in the world will also become completely purified. Merely by the complete purification of all defilements, all sins in the world will also become completely purified. All dharmas being completely pure, all sentient beings in the world will also become completely purified. All knowledge being completely pure, the Prajnaparamita in the world will also become completely purified. Vajrapani, whoever listens to, upholds, reads, and meditates on this teaching of the Prajnaparamita, even if they are in the midst of all desires and defilements, they will be like a lotus, not stained by the faults of desire, defilements, and sudden afflictions, and will quickly attain the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Avalokiteshvara, further extensively demonstrated the meaning of this very point, with a face beaming with smiles, gazing with eyes that, like the opening of lotus petals, are unstained by desires and other defilements, and for the sake of all beings, spoke this essence called "Various Forms of the Lotus." hrīḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Meaning: shame) Then, just by speaking this, from that great lotus, all the images of the Tathagatas and others appeared, indistinguishable from the Bhagavan, with forms marked by lotuses, and resided in the form of the mandala of the first order of the Bhagavan Avalokiteshvara. Then, the Bhagavan Avalokiteshvara, having entered into the samadhi called the Wisdom Mudra of the Lord of Wisdom who sees all dharmas, spoke this great mandala called Taming All Beings. The outer mandala being as it is, the second one inside should be drawn as a square, similarly with doors and corners. Then, in the form of an eight-petaled lotus mandala, draw with four lines, and paint eight lotus petals with red color. In its center, place the Bhagavan. In front of it, place the Bhagavan Great Lotus, attached, with a red-colored body, holding the form of a lotus, holding a great lotus, an arrow, and a bow. On the right is the Bhagavan.
