Even after subduing the eighty-four thousand demons, may I become a terrifying one who subdues all those who do not listen to the teachings of peace, the oath-breakers, spirits, and obstacles, and those who do not abide in the true meaning. May I become their protector and refuge for those who believe in the true meaning. After closing the door to the lower realms, and opening the door to liberation in the higher realms, even after liberating the fallen places, may I wear the skin and field of merit on my body, and use the skull and bones as ornaments. May I drink the ocean of desire and blood to the dregs, and devour everything purely and without defilement. May I liberate all sentient beings with compassion, and after uniting with all through skillful means, may I even transform the hellish realms into Buddha-lands. May I be born as such. Thus he made the vow. Then, in the past, in Ko Chu Tsong (place name), in Martang (place name), the father king was the one with the hair of anger and poison, the flames of anger blazed, the darkness of ignorance enveloped, the rock of pride towered, the flood of desire overflowed, and the whirlwind of jealousy raged. He killed everything he saw with his eyes, destroyed everything he heard with his ears, and only had wrong views in his mind. It is said that he was such a person. He rained down diseases from his mouth, sent forth the fire of the eon from his eyes, sent forth black winds and earthquakes from his nose, and rained down hail from his mouth. It is said that he was such a cruel person. The mother was also the same, taking pleasure in killing. The hundred wives were also like him. Pus and blood gathered into an ocean, skeletons piled up into a castle, flesh and fat piled up into a mound, feces and urine, human flesh and heart blood, etc., were spread all over the ground, raw skin and raw flesh, bottle-shaped objects and empty bellies.
