被寒冷所苦的寿命是，将会在一万五千劫中存在并净化。那是什么样的业成熟所致呢？因为没有听闻根本食子，期望逃脱而解脱。如果众生转生为人，偷盗寺庙和佛塔的财物后逃跑，以及如果有人追随佛法，偷盗经书后逃跑的人们，因业力而生于彼处，极其痛苦且可怜地存在。什么是常恒地狱呢？在极其愤怒的地方，身体被铁雹击打，兵器的雨在无人降下时也自然降下，身体发出盐的痛苦之声。那样的痛苦的寿命是，将会在三千劫中存在并净化。那是什么样的业成熟所致呢？如果众生转生为人时，总是期望食物和财富，造作贪恋和贪婪的业，以及为了自己想要他人的财富而夺取生命等等。以及如果有人追随佛法，也大声宣称“我力量强大！我技艺高超！”，并且执着于自我常恒和存在的人们，因业力而生于彼处，极其痛苦且可怜地存在。那样地狱的数量，即使指示地狱之光也无法穷尽。因为没有听闻根本食子的意义，如果自己能够，则有无数亿的地狱存在。在《食子大续》中说，如果没有听闻和理解食子的意义，就是众生地狱品第六。之后，又因为不知道一切都是食子的意义，如果众生转生为人，因为不了解食子而执着于物质，由于错乱的力量而造作贪执、吝啬和贪婪等的业。以及如果有人追随佛法，也心怀狭隘的慈悲，极其吝啬，不喜他人拥有，不喜他人学习功德，不喜他人拥有兴盛的眷属等等，因业力而转生为众生饿鬼之处，具有外在的障碍和内在的障碍

The lifespan of suffering from cold is that it will exist and be purified for fifteen thousand kalpas. What kind of karmic ripening does that come from? Because one has not heard of the root torma, hoping to escape and be liberated. If beings are born as humans, stealing the wealth of temples and stupas and then running away, and even if someone follows the Dharma, those who steal scriptures and run away, due to karma, are born in that place, existing in extreme suffering and misery. What is the eternal hell? In a place of extreme anger, the body is struck by iron hail, and the rain of weapons falls naturally even when no one causes it to fall, and the body emits sounds of salty pain. The lifespan of such suffering is that it will exist and be purified for three thousand kalpas. What kind of karmic ripening does that come from? When beings are born as humans, always hoping for food and wealth, engaging in deeds of attachment and greed, and taking lives, etc., for the sake of wanting the wealth of others for themselves. And even if someone follows the Dharma, they loudly proclaim, "I am powerful! I am skilled!" and those who cling to the self as permanent and existent, due to karma, are born in that place, existing in extreme suffering and misery. The number of such hells cannot be exhausted even by pointing out the light of hell. Because one has not heard the meaning of the root torma, if one could count them, there would be countless millions of hells. In the Great Torma Tantra, it says that if one has not heard and understood the meaning of the torma, it is the sixth chapter on the hell of sentient beings. Then, again, because one does not know that everything is the meaning of torma, if beings are born as humans, because they do not understand torma and cling to material possessions, due to the power of delusion, they engage in deeds of attachment, stinginess, and greed, etc. And even if someone follows the Dharma, they have little compassion, are extremely stingy, do not rejoice in others' possessions, do not rejoice in others learning virtues, do not rejoice in others having a flourishing retinue, etc., due to karma, they are born in the realm of hungry ghosts, possessing external obscurations and internal obscurations.

以及有染者之有染等处，将感受千百万劫的痛苦。又因未了知一切皆为朵玛之义，故于凡夫俗子中转生时，视一切食物非朵玛之物，各自因愚痴而视为己之饮食。视一切朵玛之神为有情之各自形相，若有人随法行事，然不领悟朵玛之续，以方便而行朵玛，不执持朵玛之续，不听闻此续，甚至对此续之名亦一无所知者，将转生为旁生，食种种恶食，作种种恶业，杀害，抛弃， 宰杀，剥皮，使用，役使，殴打，追赶等，于极度痛苦之处，将感受五百劫的痛苦。复次，又因未了知一切安住于朵玛之义，故于凡夫俗子之处转生时，于地域处所执持偏袒，于财物仆从执持偏袒。若有人修行佛法，然于佛法执持偏袒，于了知真实义者心生嫉妒，此等将转生于非天之处，成为争斗之因。复次，又因不了知朵玛之物、朵玛之器皿及朵玛之真神，于他处积聚福德资粮，即执持于名为天之行列，将感受死亡、堕落之痛苦。是故，住亦住于朵玛，行亦行于朵玛，然未听闻朵玛之神之义，无明且不住于此，吝惜于使用财物，将处于饥渴之处，不能上登，不能下行，因不了知朵玛之义，故成聋哑，因不熟悉朵玛之境，故生病发热，因不了知朵玛之果，故衰老朽坏，因不了知朵玛之法性，故有生有死，因朵玛之业障未清净，故感受麻风、疮疖、痘疹等种种疾病，于每一劫中感受痛苦。

And in places such as those with defilements and those with defilements of defilements, they will experience suffering for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. Furthermore, because they do not understand that everything is the meaning of Torma, when they are born among ordinary people, they regard all food as not being the substance of Torma, and each person, out of ignorance, regards it as their own food. They see all the deities of Torma as the individual forms of sentient beings. Even if someone follows the Dharma, if they do not understand this Tantra of Torma and practice Torma with expedient means, do not hold this Tantra of Torma, do not listen to this Tantra, and are even completely ignorant of the name of this Tantra, they will be born as animals, eating various kinds of bad food, doing various kinds of bad deeds, killing, abandoning, slaughtering, skinning, using, employing, beating, chasing, and so on. In places of extreme suffering, they will experience suffering for five hundred kalpas. Furthermore, because they do not understand that everything abides in the meaning of Torma, when they are born in the place of ordinary people, they hold partiality towards places and locations, and they hold partiality towards wealth and servants. Even if someone practices the Dharma, they hold partiality towards the Dharma, and they are jealous of those who know the true meaning. These will be born in the place of Asuras and become the cause of fighting and quarreling. Furthermore, because they do not know the substance of Torma, the vessels of Torma, and the true deity of Torma, and they accumulate merit elsewhere, they hold onto the ranks called gods, and they will experience the suffering of death, transmigration, and falling. Therefore, abide in Torma and act in Torma. However, if they have not heard the meaning of the deity of Torma, are ignorant and do not abide in it, and are stingy in using wealth, they will be in a place of hunger and thirst, unable to ascend or descend. Because they do not understand the meaning of Torma, they become deaf and mute. Because they are not familiar with the realm of Torma, they become sick and feverish. Because they do not know the fruit of Torma, they become old and decayed. Because they do not know the Dharma nature of Torma, they have birth and death. Because the obscurations of Torma are not purified, they experience various diseases such as leprosy, sores, and smallpox, and they experience suffering in each kalpa.
