被木槌敲打，不到一瞬间就来回往复。之后又像之前一样返回到另一边，遭受痛苦后再次返回，像之前一样。在这样的地方，极其痛苦，净化的时间是：要经历千百万劫才能净化。这是什么行为导致的果报呢？因为没有领悟一切朵玛的意义，不了解善与恶的真正含义，总是期望自己，生于凡夫俗子之地，玷污三宝的财物，杀害无辜的众生，殴打无辜的众生，为了寻求供养而夺取无辜的财物和享受，对无辜者下毒和驱逐出境等行为，即使是进入圣法之人，也对无辜之人施以诅咒，对与自己作对的人等进行恶行，诽谤和嘲笑无罪的朋友之法，极其贬低和羞辱，甚至将眷属和弟子都拉拢到自己一边，说人坏话和争吵等，因这些行为而生于彼处，极其痛苦，可悲啊！什么是无明地狱呢？在极其黑暗的地方，伸手不见五指的地方，极其寒冷，身体和肢体都冻裂，一切都像冰冻一样，甚至发不出“阿秋”的声音。在这样的地方，极其痛苦的时间是：要经历千千万万劫才能净化。这是做了什么行为导致的果报呢？因为没有领悟一切显现为朵玛的意义，别人的罪过是生于凡夫俗子之地，杀害众生的行为，使用刀、箭、剑、剃刀、战斧以及其他 那些方法，或者让很多人去做，使用和怂恿那些行为，不但对自己没有好处反而增加罪过，或者自己能做什么就做什么，自己做不到就教别人，筹划各种各样的罪恶之事等等。

Beaten with mallets, they go back and forth in less than an instant. Then, returning to the other side as before, suffering and returning again, doing as before. In such a place, the suffering is extreme, and the duration of purification is: it takes trillions of kalpas to be purified. What kind of actions lead to such karmic consequences? Because they do not understand the meaning of all tormas, do not know the true meaning of good and evil, and always hope for themselves, they are born in the realm of ordinary people, defiling the wealth of the Three Jewels, killing innocent beings, beating innocent beings, taking away innocent wealth and enjoyment in order to seek offerings, poisoning and expelling innocent people, etc. Even if they are people who have entered the holy Dharma, they cast curses on innocent people, perform evil deeds against those who oppose them, slander and ridicule the Dharma of innocent friends, extremely demean and humiliate others, and even draw their retinue and disciples to their side, speaking ill of others and quarreling, etc. Because of these actions, they are born in that place, suffering greatly, alas! What is the hell of ignorance? In an extremely dark place, where one cannot see even the length of one's arm, it is extremely cold, the body and limbs are cracked, everything is frozen, and one cannot even make the sound of "Achu." In such a place, the duration of extreme suffering is: it takes thousands upon thousands of kalpas to be purified. What kind of actions lead to such karmic consequences? Because they do not understand the meaning of all things appearing as tormas, the faults of others are born in the realm of ordinary people, the act of killing sentient beings, using knives, arrows, swords, razors, battle axes, and other those methods, or having many people do them, using and encouraging those actions, not only not benefiting oneself but increasing sins, or doing whatever one can do, and if one cannot do it oneself, teaching others, planning all kinds of evil deeds, etc.

此外，如果是修行圣法的补特伽罗，却追求利养名闻，虚伪做作，行持邪法，对于以正法之名行持邪法者随喜供养，对正法心怀邪见，为破戒者的鬼神做守护仪轨，对大乘法门进行诽谤，不听闻真正的佛法，偷盗经书，暗中篡改，从甚深坛城中盗取财物，喜欢念诵仪轨咒语等等，由于这些业力的影响，便会转生到那个地方，在那里感受痛苦，令人悲悯。其中，什么是烦恼地狱呢？就是被投入到极其炽热的巨大铜室之中，外面燃烧着劫末之火进行焚烧，发出无法想象的“极其痛苦啊”的哀嚎声。在这样的地方，极其痛苦的寿命长达五千大劫，并在那里进行净化。这是由怎样的行为所导致的果报呢？因为不明白此根本食子的意义，被烦恼所控制而不知真相，转生为凡夫俗子时，由于嗔恨而残忍杀害众生，由于贪欲而食用血肉，由于愚痴而不认识自性，由于嫉妒而想要毁灭他人，由于傲慢而使他人遭受损害等等，被烦恼所控制等等。如果是修行圣法的补特伽罗，虽然将五毒和一切烦恼都归于密咒的来源并加以阐释，但却与法性真义相违背，出现谬误，由于不净的贪欲而没有知足的时候，由于不净的愚痴而无法领悟真谛，由于不净的嗔恨而将罗刹视为自己的本性，由于不净的傲慢而傲视他人，由于不净的嫉妒而诽谤他人等等，由于这些业力的影响，便会转生到那个地方，在那里感受痛苦，令人悲悯。其中，什么是邪见地狱呢？就是在极其寒冷冰冻的地方，身体冻僵，被称为“极其寒冷”，身体像乌 উৎপལ་（藏文：ཨུཏྤལ་，梵文天城体：उट्पल，梵文罗马拟音：utpala，汉语字面意思：乌 উৎপལ་花）一样裂开。在这样的地方，极其痛苦，寿命长达三千大劫，并在那里进行净化。这是由怎样的业力所导致的果报呢？根本

Furthermore, if a person who practices the sacred Dharma seeks profit and fame, is hypocritical, and practices wrong Dharma, offering praise and support to those who practice wrong Dharma in the name of the true Dharma, harbors wrong views towards the true Dharma, performs protective rituals for spirits of those who have broken vows, slanders the Great Vehicle, does not listen to the true teachings, steals scriptures, secretly alters them, steals wealth from profound mandalas, enjoys reciting rituals and mantras, etc., due to the influence of these karmas, they will be reborn in that place, where they experience suffering and are to be pitied. Among them, what is the hell of afflictions? It is being thrown into a huge copper chamber that is extremely hot, and being burned from the outside by the fire of the end of the kalpa, uttering unimaginable cries of "extremely painful!" In such a place, the duration of extreme suffering is five thousand great kalpas, and purification takes place there. What kind of actions lead to this result? Because they do not understand the meaning of this root torma, are controlled by afflictions and do not know the truth, when reborn as ordinary beings, they cruelly kill sentient beings out of hatred, eat flesh and blood out of greed, do not recognize their own nature out of ignorance, want to destroy others out of jealousy, cause harm to others out of pride, etc., being controlled by afflictions, etc. If a person who practices the sacred Dharma, although attributing the five poisons and all afflictions to the source of mantras and explaining them, deviates from the true meaning of Dharma nature and makes mistakes, due to impure greed, there is no time for contentment, due to impure ignorance, they cannot comprehend the truth, due to impure hatred, they regard rakshasas as their own nature, due to impure pride, they look down on others, due to impure jealousy, they slander others, etc., due to the influence of these karmas, they will be reborn in that place, where they experience suffering and are to be pitied. Among them, what is the hell of wrong views? It is in an extremely cold and frozen place, where the body is frozen stiff, called "extremely cold," and the body cracks like an utpala (Tibetan: ཨུཏྤལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उट्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, Chinese literal meaning: Utpala flower).
