Protect! All phenomena arise from the mind. Listen to the teachings of the mind. The Buddhas of the ten directions are my mind. Outer and inner environment and beings are my mind. Directions and appearances are my mind. Outer and inner are also my mind. Higher realms and lower realms are my mind. To the Buddha of the mind, Kuntuzangpo! Listen to the emanations, the Buddhas of the ten directions. If I have nothing to show myself, whose dharma is the dharma of grasping and conception? If I have no direction or distinction, whose dharma is outer and inner? If I have no cause and effect, whose dharma is good and bad? In the unconditioned nature of mind, from where do the five colors arise? From where do good and bad, big and small, come? Who speaks of the feeling of pleasure and pain? To whom do directions and boundaries belong? The deluded mind is so deluded! The ignorant mind is so painful! The conceptual mind is so dangerous! For all the phenomena that appear, if my mind controls them, where is there anything stronger than me? If all Buddhas are mind, where is there anything greater than mind? The nature of reality beyond grasping and conception lies in the greatness of mind. The fruit without acceptance or rejection lies in the greatness of mind. The greatness of mind is inherently present. If it is not sought through cause, it is not trained through result. Like the sky, it is inherently present. What cause is there for grasping and conceptual fabrication? If you want to seek dharma and Buddha, seek it in the greatness of mind. The first chapter on the mind being inherently great. Then, the teaching on the nature of reality being inherently great was spoken thus: Kuntuzangpo is my dharma. The teaching of vast play is, whatever appears is my dharma. Before the absence of inherent existence, there was not even the name of reality. If there are individuals and yogis, who desires the fruit of reality? It should be sought from the absence of inherent existence. Because it is the nature of mind, greatly increase conception about it, and that is called the greatness of reality. In the truly certain reality, the greatness of reality has no end. In the greatness of reality, there is no good or bad. In the greatness of reality, there is no beginning or end. In the greatness of reality, there is no outer or inner. In the greatness of reality, there is no above or below. In the greatness of reality, there are no directional biases. In the greatness of reality, there is no acceptance or rejection. In the greatness of reality, there is no existence or non-existence. It is not non-existent, yet it is universally pervasive. Although universally pervasive, it is not a substance. This

If one knows such characteristics, that is the great Dharma-nature. Before there was Dharma-nature, there were not even the names of Buddhas and sentient beings. From the blessings of the great Dharma-nature, however it appears, it appears that way. However it appears, it is that way. Thus, it was truly declared. For these and other such dharmas, even for these dharmas, there is no dharma. If one grasps at a subtle aspect of self-nature, for that grasping there is no dharma, and for that there is no fruit of dharma. If one grasps at the fruit of dharma, these are the meanings of wisdom. Not becoming before or after, not divided into directions or categories, if one abandons the faults of clinging, attachment, grasping, and conceptualization, that is called Dharma-nature. Furthermore, the great Dharma-nature, if a yogi wishes to realize it, then expanding in the direction of vast wisdom, one should seek it from this chapter on the Dharma-nature's inherent greatness. This is the end of the second chapter: "The Dharma-nature's Inherent Greatness." Then, the inherent greatness of the elements was declared as follows: Space is inherently great, fire and water are inherently great, wind and earth are inherently great. Before the elements existed, there were not even the names of Buddhas and sentient beings. The Buddhas of the five elements are the supreme lords of all Buddhas. The five elements are the realm of the mother; born from the mother, they are the sons of the Buddhas. The five elements are the mother of the lineage; for her, the father is the skillful means of self-enjoyment. The elements are inherently great in terms of place, the elements are inherently pure. The place of the elements is in space, the cause of the elements is the earth. The enjoyment of the elements is fire and water, the emanation of the elements is wind. The characteristic of the elements is without conceptualization, the nature of the elements is unconditioned. The fruit of the elements is without object, the qualities of the elements are understanding and realization. The meaning of the elements is without transformation. Since all arise from the nature of Dharma-nature, all arise from the elements, therefore the elements are great. Since the nature of the elements is without substance, therefore the elements are emptiness. The elements are the Perfection of Wisdom. Through the coming together of the five elements, the play of the realm of Dharma is shown. Understanding the meaning of emptiness, clarifying the elements with definitive knowledge, through the blessings of possessing skillful means, these are merely shown as elements, but in reality, they are not shown as such. If, from the greatness of symbols, one performs the actions of the elements without understanding, then the greatness of
