It is said that the Lord himself prophesied by showing the manner in which the Great Vehicle, the secret and sacred, would arise. When telling the story, when a great prophecy was definitely shown, it was also recorded that it "appeared." How was that prophecy known? The Lord of Secrets said: O Lord of Lanka, what you ask is good! Very good! Excellent! It is like this: In the realm of beginningless samsara, in an age without beginning or end, for the Buddhas without beginning or end, as lamps appearing, by the activity of a single means, after fully accomplishing what benefits in one direction, by supreme means, what benefits in all directions is also fully accomplished. Those who have vowed to follow, the prophecy that arises and appears from this will become widely known. For what the lamp illuminates, only its own realm appears, and nothing else appears. O Lord of Lanka, how is that prophecy? It is like this: In the beginningless eon, It is impossible to say how much will arise. One thing arises from the occasion, I will tell it here, Listen to the armor of vows you have distributed. When acting in all eons, A hundred thousand million Buddhas will appear. The last of all to appear, The Sugata Manifest King, prophesied in the assembly: In one world or one continent, In the period of one eon, In one place, one Vajrasana, I have not truly seen Two Buddhas who have completed their deeds appear. If it appears, it is impossible and contrary to the Dharma. After the Buddhas have passed into Nirvana, The wonderful secret essence, Will be widely propagated. All the Buddhas show this great prophecy. It is like this: I will not remain, after Nirvana, The gathering of all intentions, Will appear as a hundred kinds of taming. Thus, the holy one prophesied. Furthermore, listen to the great exhortation: When acting in endless eons, Thirty-five thousand Buddhas will appear. The last of all to appear, The Buddha Amitabha, prophesied in the assembly: Of the thirty-five thousand who will appear, After the previous Buddhas have passed away, For the sake of those who are mature or immature, Just as the prophecy of the holy one appeared, Here also

Please fully accept. After my passing, there will be no more manifestation, and after a hundred years, the meaning will become apparent. The powerful one has made a prophecy. Listen to other great exhortations as well. In the kalpa called "Renown," forty-six thousand Buddhas appeared. The last of all the Buddhas to appear, the spiritual friend of all Buddhas, prophesied within the retinue, forty-six thousand, the noble Tathagatas, for whom the prophecy was made. After my passing into peace, one hundred and fifteen years later, the fruit of enlightenment will appear, the noble one, free from dust and defilement. In this supreme and sacred pure land, there will be fortunate ones who will gain manifestation. To a Brahmin woman named "Wise Mother," she will become famous as "The Subduer of Harm." Listen to other great exhortations as well. In the kalpa called "Auspicious Adornment," eighty kotis of Buddhas appeared. After they all manifested extinction, the Buddha Auspicious Adornment also, prophesied within the retinue, eighty kotis appeared, the previous Tathagatas, as prophesied, the vehicle will appear. After my manifestation has faded, in the time of half a century, this will be accomplished in one lifetime, a noble mirror of Dharma. After my passing, in this world of Jambudvipa, a fortunate bhikshu will appear. In the place called "Essence of the Sun," after raining down a great rain of Dharma, he will become famous as universally harmonious. Listen to other great exhortations as well. In the kalpa called "Perfectly Endowed," one hundred kotis of Buddhas appeared. After they all manifested extinction, the Buddha Precious Splendor also, prophesied within the retinue, one hundred kotis appeared, those Tathagatas, as prophesied, determined as supreme. After my manifestation no longer abides, eighty-two years later, this secret assembly, the heart essence of the Great Vehicle, in the place called "Essence of Enlightenment," in the place called "Sal Tree Golden Land," King Blissful Protector is fortunate, in accordance with karma and compassion, one eye of Dharma will be opened, and those with lineage will all be able to obtain it. Listen to other great exhortations as well. In this very Auspicious Kalpa, one hundred Buddhas will appear, the lamp that appeared as the fourth, the King of Sages himself, prophesied within the retinue.

教法啊！ 八十四俱胝之 圆满正觉之彼者， 凡其所方成熟后， 大乘金刚藏自性， 将会广为流传如是说， 如同一切之大预言教示。 我从此地隐没后， 一百一十二年时， 于天处三处所闻名之， 教法之殊胜精华， 赡部洲东方之边隅， 具缘种姓之人， 名为匝之国王者， 预先将给予瑞兆。 名为暴烈者之顶， 友之劣身之勇士， 楞伽之主等， 将显现执金刚。 圣者如是授记。 彼等及其他无量， 无始无终之间， 如是如是而闻名。 秘密主如是说。
