From the Great Sutra of the Collection of Intentions of All Buddhas, the Forty-first Chapter: The Complete Deeds of Skillful Means. Then, the Lord of Secrets spoke to the Lord of Lanka: Lord of Lanka, furthermore, for what reason is the deed of the body like this? Just as the emanation of Vajrasattva appears in the world, appearing in the form of all, causing all to ripen, that is just so. Thus, for what reason are the gate of the Tathagata's intention, the gate of the Tathagata's speech, the gate of the Tathagata's actions, the limit of the Tathagata's emanations, and the cloud of the Tathagata's means, like an ocean, not to be grasped as this or one? Why is that? Lord of Lanka, for example, because sentient beings have different inclinations, limitless beings are difficult to please, even the Victorious Ones cannot please them, and inclinations towards anything are said to be limitless. Lord of Lanka, those noble ones, without moving from Suchness, know the realm of sentient beings, whose consciousness is endless, and sounds, forms, and actions that are endless, whether known, unheard, unseen, or unexplained, there is nothing that is not. Why is that? Because from all to all, the essence of Bodhi itself is completely unmixed and perfect, whose essence is Bodhi, the unwavering, the non-conceptual nature, and sentient beings, wherever they dwell in a sesame seed, for them there is no far or near, no one or different, because Suchness is one, existing indivisibly in the same sphere. Lord of Lanka, for what reason are those deeds of the Tathagata's body specifically performed? From the Great Sutra of the Collection of Intentions of All Buddhas, the Forty-second Chapter: The Complete Deeds of the Body. From the manner of definite emergence from the Great Vehicle, for what reason was it done, and the Dharma seal of wisdom that elaborates the story of what happened, that is, the ninth chapter showing how it happened. Then, the Lord of Lanka, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, in order to ascertain the great prophecy of the tenth of the twelve previous statements, completely asked the question of "what also happened." Alas, Lord of Secrets.
