It appears as the body of action. From the entering consciousness aggregate, that is, from the wisdom of accomplishing activities, it appears as the bones of a youth and the Buddhas of the sangha, and so on. From that itself, it appears that the secret body and the emanation body are different. From the different emanation bodies, it appears as different letters, different words, immeasurable Dharma gates, and different relics and remains. These appear as representing the gate of the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra. Lord of Lanka, therefore, secret mantra is naturally manifest in all things, in all places. And noble beings are manifestly shown to appear through the blessings of secret mantra. Lord of Lanka, why is that? Because there is no Dharma that is not pervaded by secret mantra, that does not abide, and that has not been transformed into secret mantra. For those noble beings who have perverted the certainty of secret mantra, everything becomes a mirror in which they wish to see secret mantra. Just as from the Buddha to the worm, from the sky to the dust particle, everything together is clearly, distinctly, and completely revealed. It is able to cut off doubt. It becomes a sacred treasury. It becomes a great scripture. It is extensively explained. It is proclaimed with complete understanding. Lord of Lanka, therefore, secret mantra is merely naturally manifest, and noble beings merely show it through blessings. The Lord of Lanka said: Lord of Secrets, is everything that appears secret mantra? Or is everything whose nature does not appear secret mantra? Or is something that is neither of the two secret mantra? The Lord of Secrets said: O Lord of Lanka, everything that appears is also not secret mantra. If everything that appears were secret mantra, then the very saying of "secret mantra" would be contradictory. For the consciousness of sentient beings and the intention of the Buddha would also become indistinguishable. Apart from that, there is also no secret mantra. If only that apart from it were secret mantra, then everything would not converge into the nature of Dharma. If the non-appearance of the nature of everything is also secret mantra, then other things that are cut off would also become perfectly complete. If it is neither of the two, then that is also not secret mantra. If it is neither of the two,

If it is a mantra, then the so-called mantra cannot be found by searching elsewhere. The Lord of Lanka said: Lord of Secrets, then what is called mantra? The Lord of Secrets said: Lord of Lanka, the so-called mantra is neither apparent nor non-apparent, liberated from the nature of both, and does not focus on the Middle Way, that is the reality itself. The Lord of Lanka said: Lord of Secrets, if the nature of mantra is difficult to measure and difficult to see, then how should it be seen? The Lord of Secrets said: Lord of Lanka, the nature of mantra should be seen with the wisdom of whoever is extremely subtle, very subtle, extremely profound, and very profound. He said: Lord of Secrets, what is subtle wisdom, extremely subtle, very subtle? What is extremely profound, very profound? He said: Lord of Lanka, extremely subtle and very subtle wisdom is like this: Some people, regarding this earth realm, have one krosa (yojana) with one unconfused khrak-khrig dust particle, as well as thirty million kotis of khrak-khrig (bye-ba khrak-khrig 'bum phrag sum-cu), one hundred and sixty kotis (bye-ba drug-cu phrag brgya), thirty-two kotis (bye-ba phrag sum-cu rtsa-gnyis), five million and twenty thousand. For these, they further divide them into dust particles of fire, water, and wind, and then measure them by the number of dust particles in one great trichiliocosm (stong gsum gyi stong chen-po 'jig-rten gyi khams chen-po). Furthermore, regarding the outer great earth, they examine endless different shapes, and think that these are recognized separately due to the different effects of the elements such as earth, water, fire, and wind, such as swirling, flowing, tilting, bending, entangling, congealing, sticking, stretching, slanting, swaying, swelling, approaching, and slipping. Also, they follow various names such as names, symbols, signs, terms, and designations, and follow the endless characteristics of each, with endless recognition and endless speculation. These are said to be the path to all-knowing ones. Lord of Lanka, those should not be called extremely subtle or very subtle, those should be called coarse, very coarse. Why is that? Because a fool who wants to pan for gold in the sand will be in vain.
