Therefore, we beseech you, venerable one, to surely make us understand, please reveal the sacred and excellent path, the sacred and excellent equality. The Bhagavan thus responded: Good men, very good! Indeed! Like this: The very reality of the sacred secret mantra is devoid of all examination, without beginning or middle, without addition or subtraction, without acceptance or rejection, beyond cause and effect, primordially pure, primordially complete, without action, without seeking, impossible to accomplish, impossible to initiate, not arising from elsewhere, without antidote, without a doer, unmade, unexamined, without self, unartificial, uncorrupted, certain to be that, without error, as it is, unceasing, unborn, imperishable, not lost, invisible, unarisen, not going, abiding from the beginning, pervading all, without name, without form, without characteristics, without designation, invisible, ungraspable, unrepresentable, without example, immeasurable, unexaminable, beyond thought, unfathomable, inconceivable, unimaginable, the source of all, in all ways and in all places, the great equanimity, emptiness, one's own awareness, self-arising alone.

The root is seen as arising from the mind. The nature of mind has not arisen. There is no birth in the unborn. Primordially as it is. Naturally spontaneously accomplished. The root is definitely understood to be the noble mind of enlightenment itself, and experiencing the intention of the Buddhas is like this: all mind and mental events become like the sky. Transcending meditation and non-meditation, after the last breath, perfect certainty is fully attained. It has been attained. Having fully attained it, those noble beings wept without ceasing. Again, Vajrasattva himself, knowing this, spoke to those noble beings: "O noble beings, why do you weep?" They pleaded: "Noble spiritual friend, it is like this: among paths, this is the near path. Among methods, this is supreme. Not heard before, small is our merit. Emaho, wondrous and marvelous Dharma. Such a long-lasting meaningful affair. Meaning fulfilled, without relying on others. Relying on others, emaho, is a mistake. In the work of actions, wasting effort. Distracted following after signs. Exhausted, meaningless, endless words. Gathering but not gathered, little meaning. From those two noble spiritual friends. Certainly, having attained, a great sigh is released. Equal to the Buddhas, liberated in the realm of Dharma. That great one spontaneously accomplished. Thus they pleaded. From the great joy of wonder, the light of wisdom like a million suns arose, so that those in every place trained in the power of intelligence. The greatness of meaning appeared. All the lands shook, and the practitioners of conduct became wondrous, and pleaded to their respective teachers: "What is this kind of amazing sign?" From their respective immeasurable teachers, they spoke to their respective immeasurable retinues: "Sons of the lineage, this great sign is that in the realm called 'Greatly Pervasive,' the spiritual friend of all Buddhas, Vajrasattva himself, is teaching the Dharma called 'The Certainty of Suchness of the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra.' That Buddha cuts through all doubts and is the noble spiritual friend who certainly prophesies that all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will definitely attain Buddhahood, so the five noble beings who have not attained the certainty of secret mantra are fully manifesting perfection."

Therefore, the Buddha dispelled their doubts and prophesied that these were their signs. Thus it was shown. Lord of Lanka, in this way, those noble beings are those who have just realized Suchness, and are definitely the crown princes of the Dharma Kings, called noble beings. In the great sutra that gathers the intentions of all Buddhas, it is called the "Chapter on the Perfection of Great Breath," which is the twelfth chapter. Then, the Lord of Lanka, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, asked this question completely: Lord of Secrets, how are those noble beings known in the pure lands of the noble ones? The Lord of Secrets replied: Lord of Lanka, those noble beings are universally known as crown princes in the pure lands of the noble ones because they have become the crown princes of the Dharma Kings. Why is that? Lord of Lanka, it is like this: for example, those ministers who become the head of all the great assemblies, if they are born into the royal lineage of kings, and possess marks and characteristics, understand the Dharma, possess retinues, and obtain power, then they will be respected by the masses. Similarly, those noble beings are also born into the lineage of all Buddhas, and possess the signs of all marks and characteristics, understand the Dharma, possess retinues of disciples, and obtain the ten powers. Because they possess these qualities, they are called crown princes. Lord of Lanka, it is also like this: if one is born into a royal lineage, and the kingdom is supported by the people, and one rules the country with strong words, just like becoming the head of all the great assemblies. When the Buddhas are completely perfected, the beings of the world, including the gods, enthrone him as the Dharma King, and from then on, he manifests enlightenment. Lord of Lanka, in this way, those noble beings who possess the five qualities, in the place of the perfection of great breath, from the endless pure lands of the noble ones, countless Buddhas gather together like summer clouds in the sky, and everyone, with one voice, empowers him with the name of crown prince, noble being, and Dharma King. It is like that.
