Limitless. Thus, it is taught as the true spiritual friend. Some say this: Although all sorts of things are known, if there is no path of complete liberation and purity, then it is far from the true (path), and one will never find certainty. Thus, it is taught as a supreme instruction. Some say this: Entering gradually in various ways, thoughts and actions change within the mind, the meaning of complete thoughtlessness, proceeding gradually is a great poison. Thus, it is taught as a special instruction. Some say this: If one does not understand the distinctions of various things, then one cannot ascertain their true nature. If one cannot ascertain their true nature, then one should not speak rashly about various things. Thus, it is earnestly taught as a supreme instruction. Some say this: Just as a rainbow appears in the sky, so too are the appearances of immeasurable thoughts. Words without certainty are just as they appear. Thus, it is said to be immeasurable and supreme. Some say this: Because the root of all things is explained here, whoever understands this meaning is the best of listeners. Because everything arises from this, knowing this is knowing everything, and is the best of wisdom. Thus, it is praised as the supreme wisdom. Some say this: This is the great secret among secrets, one cannot see oneself, so how can one be seen by others? This is praised by the supreme ones. Thus, it is praised as the supreme secret. Some say this: This is the essence of all dharmas, unchanging like gold and space, because it is imperishable, devoid of emptiness, and uninterrupted, it is the supreme of dharmas, the best of meanings. Thus, it is praised as the great supreme. Some say this: The immeasurable clouds of conceptual thoughts accumulated from beginningless time, are liberated into suchness by realizing emptiness in an instant. Thus, it is praised as the supreme secret. Some say this: If one is certain that all inconceivable dharmas are empty, then one merges with all Buddhas, which is the meditation of a great yogi. Thus, it is taught as the supreme yoga. Some say this: As long as samsara exists, the essence of the teachings, the sun, will rise. This wheel of self-nature and dharma will never perish and will continue to turn without interruption. Thus, it is praised as the vehicle of the supreme secret. Some say this: The unchanging and indestructible vajra meaning, the jewel from which all things arise, the undefiled and pure lotus, the deed of all spontaneously accomplished
