Arising, like a wheel of fire, appears like the first day of the moon. When entering the great union, a surpassing feeling arises, like a lamp, like the second day of the moon. When tasting flavors, a surpassing joy arises, like a lamp in a vessel, or like the third day of the moon. When entering objects, an unchangeable feeling arises, close to attainment and instruction, manifesting the nature of the fourth day. At the time of great discriminations, a surpassing wisdom arises, approaching the first great sign, manifesting the nature of the fifth day. When becoming confident, a feeling of abiding arises, like a very stable lamp, manifesting the nature of the eighth day. It is said to be accomplished when the sign is obtained. When it is possible to act, a complete feeling arises, like a lamp without an antidote, appearing like a complete part. It is accomplished by being firmly established. The nature of mind is originally Buddha, but it is not known because it is obscured by discrimination. From the tree of Bodhicitta, the supreme fruit ripens. Therefore, noble friends, the Bodhicitta of the noble ones is always continuous, and discontinuity is not noble. Only continuity can surely ripen. The tree where it ripens is the tree of noble Bodhi, and the noble fruit will surely ripen. Friends, those are the definite discussions about the intention to cultivate the noble tree. In the great sutra that gathers the intentions of all Buddhas, the chapter on cultivating the secret and noble tree of reality, the fifty-eighth, is complete. Then, the owner of Lanka and other Bodhisattva Mahasattvas asked completely: Alas! Secret lords, noble ones, we vow to follow, how should we follow the noble ones? How should we fully know? After asking completely in this way, the secret lord said: Alas! Friends, it is like this, following the noble ones is to follow the noble path that is certain to be known. Friends, what is the noble path? It is like that.
