Without cultivation, the inherent nature is unchangeable; free from dullness and darkness, it is devoid of faults. It does not stray, and there is no clinging to objects; without effort of mind, there is nothing to do. Whatever appears is the very nature itself. Without cultivation, without clinging, it is free from desire. It does not enter into objects, but naturally abides. Clarity is free from all obscurations. The arising of delusion is naturally absent. There is no clinging to the side of characteristics. It abides free from grasping at appearances. It does not move or cling to anything. Like the mind in a dark room, the unthinking nature is naturally clear. Bliss abides in a state of non-thought. The supreme meaning is without a clinging mind. There is no focus on the realm of characteristics. Unfabricated, wisdom is clear within oneself. Thoughts of attachment naturally cease. Not moving, not clinging, is the supreme view. Uncontrived, self-luminous, is the supreme bliss. In all activities—walking, sleeping, sitting, staying—without interruption, be free from effort of mind. There is no need to rely on the essence of delusion. Whatever appears, in whatever form, do not follow after it. When there is no opportunity for clinging, whatever changes, abides continuously in the three times. In the meaning of non-cultivation, abandon activity. In the meaning of non-meditation, there is nothing to abandon. Since it does not move from one's own mind, there is no need to rely on the side of essence. In the view of clear wisdom, free from the meaning of words, like a path of action, do not cut off the trace of any awareness. Like a lamp dispelling darkness, it is that very nature; there is no need to seek it. Self-born bliss arises effortlessly. There is no obscuration on the clear light mind. Blazing wisdom is the ornament of play. Abide naturally, just as it is, without contrivance. There is no seeking in the body, and no desire. If one has not gained freedom in the mind, the cycle of the six realms will not cease. When the king of freedom is manifest, the accomplishment of bliss arises from within oneself. Unchanging, it is free from the clinging mind. The force of karma, though strong, does not deceive me. There is no wavering of conceptual thought. A mind of perverted conditions does not arise. Naturally, it is inexpressible, free from words. A mind that thinks, 'This is it, this is not it,' does not arise. There is no passing away in any of the three times. If one abides primarily in a single view, the desired fruit will arise. Contemplation abides in its own place, without wavering. Uncontrived, ungrasped, it is just as it is. The nature is unmade, free from essence. Since it does not depend on anything, it is bliss. Thus it is said. From the Secret General Tantra, this is the eighteenth chapter, on the teaching of Samadhi.

Then, Vajrasattva asked the Great Secret Lord, "What is the meaning of the conduct of a Bodhisattva?" The Great Secret Lord said: Unfabricated, genuine, the supreme of meaning, Renunciation of actions, a view without artificiality. Not made, but arising spontaneously, This is conduct in the ultimate meaning. The nature like the sky, Is the unfabricated, genuine conduct. The nature like the sun, Is the conduct of non-attachment and non-clinging. The nature like the ocean, Is the profound and vast conduct. The nature like the earth, Is the conduct of arising from everything. The nature like a jewel, Is the conduct of fulfilling needs and desires. The nature like a lion, Is the conduct of fearlessness. The nature of having confidence, Is the conduct of being without hope and worry. The nature like a lotus, Is the conduct of being unstained. The nature like Tidya (a plant), Is the conduct of being without clinging. The nature like an elephant, Is the conduct of destroying the armies of Mara. The nature like pure Soma, Is the conduct of being immutable. The nature that is primordially pure, Abides in the nature of non-duality. Since it is primordially non-dual, It does not depend on the actions of body and speech. The nature of mind is primordially pure, One conducts oneself in the meaning of its essence. The vows of Pratimoksha, Samaya, etc., Even if practiced, they do not become bonds, Even if not practiced, there is no fault. The conduct of the Great Perfection, Is not the confinement of self-arising, It is not accomplished by effort. Self-appearance, unfabricated, is the ornament of the mind. Thus it was said. From the Secret General Tantra, the nineteenth chapter on the teaching of conduct. Then, Vajrasattva asked the Great Secret Lord, "What is the self-mastery of awareness like?" The Great Secret Lord said: Obtaining self-mastery over the mind, Is the supreme of all empowerments. Having obtained self-mastery from the ground, there is no need for empowerment. The King of Awareness is the supreme of empowerment, Is the essence of all empowerments. It abides in the heart of the detached and holy, It transcends the realm of conceptual thought. The supreme self-mastery abides in the mind, It does not depend on any materials. The general pouring of awareness is the empowerment of Brahma, The method of general pouring of royal power is the method of empowerment. Not falling to the extremes of duality, The indivisible awareness, words are exhausted. Like the empowerment of the mother, like the experience of the son, The indivisible empowerment is obtained. Renunciation, non-grasping.
