The color of the sky is separated by clouds. In the emptiness of consciousness, which is without substance, By the power of one's own karma, colors are transformed, Forming the shapes of higher realms and evil destinies. It is the self-nature of the karma of ignorance that appears. Abandoning non-virtue prevents evil destinies. Small virtue results in just a human body, Medium virtue can make one a great pure being, Even becoming a Wheel-Turning King. By practicing virtue and keeping the four precepts, One can attain the kingship of the Thirty-Three Gods. By upholding the natural Dharma principles, One will go to the joyful abode of Tushita. By practicing great virtue and keeping pure vows, One can attain the Joyful and Other-Emanating Control. Keeping vows is the basis for attaining enlightenment, Guarding them as they arise from the Vinaya Pitaka. The Form Realm with the four immeasurables, The Formless Realm without discrimination. The land of the wise noble ones, Attaining the uncontaminated fruits of the Three Vehicles. Representing all virtues with that virtue, When dedicating merit and wisdom, One will also attain the two sacred states, What need is there to mention the fruits of others? From the supreme precious accumulation of the fundamental lineage of the teachings of all Buddhas, the eighth chapter, the section on the unfolding of completely pure karma. Because appearances arise from the mind, Like illusions seen in a dream. The good and bad of happiness and suffering, Are the self-nature of virtuous and non-virtuous thoughts. When the mind is virtuous, all things are virtuous, When the mind is non-virtuous, all things are non-virtuous. Who created the Avici Hell? It is the result of a sinful mind that ripens. Without cause or connection, there is no ripening fruit, Non-virtue cannot make others laugh. Virtue cannot be stolen by others, One's own actions come to oneself. By swallowing poison into one's own stomach, The fruit will not ripen for others, One's own poison stings oneself. Great for the great, medium for the medium, Small like the effect of a small poison. Whatever non-virtuous deeds one has done, Will not happen to others, but to oneself, That and that result in suffering. The ripening fruit cannot be changed, It is determined at the time of the cause. When one is tormented by fever, Drinking water will quench one's own thirst, That water will not quench the thirst of others. Likewise, the power of the reward of virtue, What one has done ripens only for oneself. By one's own virtuous mind, liberation is attained, The former cause becomes the benefit of the latter, The fruits ripen gradually or simultaneously. Like the autumn harvest of a farmer, The causes and effects of virtue and non-virtue do not mix, Clearly

The ripening is distinct. White and black are two, not the same, not different. For example, in a garden, if you plant a poisonous seed, it will grow into poison; the fruit cannot become medicine. Similarly, the mind that always understands, from negativity comes suffering; it is impossible for happiness to arise. From a medicinal seed, the fruit ripens; how could it turn into poison? From virtue, happiness is attained; suffering will not come. Even small sins should not be despised and abandoned; accumulating dust particles can become like Mount Sumeru. Even small virtues should not be abandoned and accepted; accumulating water droplets can become like the ocean. The sun and moon may fall from the sky to the ground, water may turn into fire, but the cause and effect of karma will not deceive. The forms of virtue and sin are distinct; from small to large, strive to learn the middle ground, not tainted by faults, accomplish merit. Virtue and sin are like destroying poison with medicine; sin is more powerful than virtue. Regarding the way of acting with good and bad karma, the truth is that cause and effect do not deceive. For example, the seed of a wish-fulfilling jewel, when sprinkled with water on a tiny sprout, the fruit, leaves, flowers, and roots, the trunk will grow large, possessing the three: union, substance, and consequence. When the two causes and conditions gather, in this life and the next, at all times, great happiness and suffering will arise. Ultimately, the Buddha's son, the Tathagata, look at the difference between demons and sins and the Avici hell. Black and white causes and conditions are different; when virtue and sin are spoken of together, one suppresses the other, like fire in a stove, unable to ripen the fruit. Whenever one encounters conditions, even after a hundred eons, it will not be wasted. The karma of all sentient beings will produce results when the time is ripe, just as a pregnant woman reaches full term; no one can stop it. In this life, the next life, and the bardo, karma follows like a shadow. Sin is the ripening of non-virtue; abandoning it only entangles you, merely running away will cause it to chase you, chasing from behind, surrounding from the front, wherever you go, wherever you stay, there is no place where it is not, unless you do nothing. Therefore, from the karma of sin and robbery, how can happiness arise? The sin of taking one's own life is terrifying; falling into the lower realms is endless. Experiencing one's own suffering,
