The two, ground and wisdom, are neither one nor different, but a dharma that is extremely difficult to distinguish. Mind-essence is the function of wisdom, and the basis of mind is wisdom. In this, mind and wisdom are two, and because of one and otherness, they are called liberation and non-liberation. The distinction between mind and wisdom is distinguished from the gate of essence, from the gate of place, from the gate of path, from the gate of arising, and from the respective gates of faults and virtues. Among them, the essence of wisdom is the dharmakaya (藏文:ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ།) which is pure in nature, the way of dwelling is dwelling in light, so it is the rupakaya (藏文:གཟུགས་ཀྱི་སྐུ།). The way of appearance is without inside and outside, so wisdom is transparent and unobstructed. The three bodies are inseparable, transcending the obscurations of things. The details have been mentioned above, and will not be repeated here. The explanation of the essence of mind is the grasper and grasped with space. The explanation of the place of mind and wisdom is the dwelling place of great wisdom, which is the bindu of pure dharmadhatu. Thus, it dwells in the precious space, and the way of dwelling, place and appearance, etc., should be known above and below. Mind dwells in the city with wind. The path is also explained in two ways, connected to the precious ocean. The white, smooth and empty vein, the bindu is not filled with blood, and great wisdom runs everywhere, this is the path of wisdom. The throat is explained as the path of mind, which is the measure of the flow of breath. The gate is explained in two ways, the gate of wisdom and the gate of mind. There are two gates of wisdom, namely the pervasive invisible gate and the hidden gate. It appears in two ways. Because of the clear nature of transparency and unobstructedness, the manifest gate is the eye. The gate of mind is the three gates of desire, distinguishing the consciousness of breath running and not running. The virtues of wisdom are complete in all appearances, and the faults of mind are the dharmas of samsara. The stains arising from that and that. Alas! Listen well, son of intelligence! If the meaning is explained with a profound metaphor, in the past, on the top of Mount Meru, the place of the sun in the ocean, there lived a dragon king named Norbu Wöden (藏文:ནོར་བུ་འོད་ལྡན།), which means Jewel Light. Because he was tired, he looked up and down, and in a garden called Pure Lotus, he saw a precious house decorated with the sun and moon. He also went there, and it is said that he made it his palace of residence. It is said that he built a temple for offering on the top.

Looking down from there, in the city of the windy ones, he saw a minister named Kunje doing work. Having gone there, he appointed him as a minister. It is said that the king and minister had a conflict. After that, the minister, riding on a swift horse, went to the streets of the wanderers. He went to the three gates of strife and sought five kinds of jewels. He offered tribute to the king, but the king was not pleased or satisfied. The people and ministers were cut off from food. The king and minister fought. The king imposed punishment on the minister, and the subjects were also suppressed. The king and minister separated, and the offerings were interrupted. The king went to the palace and was very depressed because there was no opponent to fight. It is said that he recited: Jñānacittapraveśayasaduhu ahahakāla (Tibetan: ཛྙཱ་ན་ཙིཏྟ་པྲ་བེ་ཤ་ཡ་ས་དུ་ཨ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्ञानचित्तप्रवेशयसदु अहःकाल, Sanskrit Romanization: jñānacittapraveśayasaduhu ahahakāla, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom mind enters victorious ahahakala). From the Tantra of the Great Clarity of Meaning Beyond Proliferation, the chapter on distinguishing between mind and wisdom, the one hundred and ninth. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked: Alas! Alas! Blessed Vajradhara! Through understanding the meanings you have spoken, how are the appearances of delusion stopped? How does the appearance of wisdom arise? How does self-awareness enter? How does the consciousness of signs arise? How are the ways of liberation of the superior, middling, and inferior? Thus he asked. The Teacher replied: Lord of Secrets, hold this definitive meaning. This deluded appearance of the world, because it first arises from itself, ultimately is liberated in its own nature. Like the self-arisen, self-liberated as shown, appearances are gathered into the power of mind, separated from the object to be grasped. When the mind realizes, the power of wisdom is gathered, separated from the mind that grasps. In the awareness that is separated from the grasped and the grasper, wisdom is self-clear, radiantly bright, like a rainbow appearing in the sky, wisdom is clear in the expanse of dharmata. Without beginning or end, it pervades everywhere. At that time, consciousness enters into that. The five pure elements arise in the essence of dharmata. There, the five appearing elements are purified and dissolved in their own nature. This is what is indicated at the time of arising. First, earth dissolves into earth, the body becomes heavy, and consciousness becomes dull. Then, water dissolves into water, the body's mouth and nose become dry. Then, wind dissolves into wind, the body and consciousness become heavy and sink. At that time, fire dissolves into fire, the body is devoid of warmth. Consciousness dissolves into the nature of space. Feelings are free from the duality of pleasure and pain. It abides in the expanse without pervasion.
