The end of the fifty-ninth chapter. Alas! Alas! Bhagavan Vajradhara! Regarding the boundaries of meditation, whether it exists or not, Wisdom and means are like this: Regarding meditating on one's own nature, Please explain it correctly and well! After asking thus, the teacher said: Regarding meditating on one's own nature, One's own awareness is the Dharmakaya, Realizing it through the seven recognitions, When unwavering conviction arises in the heart, That meaning becomes clear in the continuum, Meditation is one's own nature. When awareness is realized as the Dharmakaya, The three bodies are spontaneously accomplished, The five wisdoms are also spontaneously accomplished. From the self-aware Dharmakaya, Due to conceptual thoughts becoming the cause of external objects, When mistaken conceptual thoughts arise, Apply the key points of conduct as they are. From the aspect of originally abiding, it is the ground, That itself is like realization. That appearance is established as merely meditation, Continuously applying it is conduct, What appears is indicated as the result. Thus he spoke. From the Tantra of Great Clarity of Meaning Beyond Proliferation, the end of the sixtieth chapter on showing the nature of meditation itself. Alas! Alas! Bhagavan Vajradhara! Regarding the explanation of whether meditation exists or not, And regarding meditating on one's own nature, As explained extensively, The wrong paths of the eight vehicles, And the instructions on the common wrong paths, Please, Vajradhara, speak about them! After asking thus, Vajradhara said: The wrong paths of the nine stages of meditation, etc., Have been clearly explained in the upper and lower chapters. The common wrong paths are explained like this: The five wrong paths of emptiness in shamatha, The five wrong paths of clarity in vipashyana, Those themselves are the two common wrong paths, A total of twelve wrong paths are explained. The five wrong paths on the side of emptiness are: The wrong path of dull shamatha is: Because conceptual thought is the cause of shamatha. The wrong path of abandoning equanimity is: Abiding naturally without effort. The wrong path of nihilistic emptiness is: Not wanting anything, neither matter nor awareness. The wrong path of non-conceptual dullness is: Losing mindfulness, the clarity of the clear part is cut off. The wrong path of non-grasping dullness is: Although the appearance of external objects appears, But nothing is determined, Not recognizing oneself, there is no grasping, There is no grasping, but there is also no clarity, Therefore, it is indicated as a wrong path. Alas! Lord of Secrets, listen! The wrong paths of clear vipashyana are: The wrong path of deities of complete fabrication, etc., The wrong path of the light of signs

, and the wrong path of ease in the channels and energies, and the wrong path of object-subject duality, and the wrong paths of samsaric suffering. From clarity, liberation from wrong paths. The wrong path of deliberate action is, to focus the mind without awareness. The wrong path of uncultivated delusion is, beings clinging to themselves, delusion escaping outwards. If the meaning of the view is clearly realized, wrong paths, obscurations, and suffering will not arise. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of Great Clarity of Meaning Beyond Elaborations, the chapter on showing the wrong paths of meditation, the eleventh chapter is complete. Emaho! Great Vajradhara. The characteristic of meditation itself is, to show it without error. If one does not understand it in that way, it will become a fault of meditation, so please speak the unerring instruction so as not to go astray. After thus requesting, Vajradhara spoke: Listen, secret lord, Vajradhara. Since one's own awareness, the Dharmakaya, is self-arisen without creating causes and conditions, cut off the wrong path of sudden artificial thoughts. Since one's own essence abides in emptiness, cut off the wrong paths of things being permanent, etc. Since that essence is clear, cut off all the wrong paths of annihilation and emptiness. Since the nature of clarity and emptiness is inseparable and one, cut off the wrong paths of the three samadhis of awareness. Since all qualities are spontaneously accomplished, cut off the wrong path of hoping for results from elsewhere. Since compassion arises without ceasing, cut off the wrong path of not benefiting beings and the interruption of compassion. Since the two powers of clarity do not cease, cut off the wrong paths of calm abiding, equanimity, and non-thought. Since the cut-off body abides in its own place and does not need to be meditated upon, cut off the wrong path of contemplating all conceptual meditations of view and meditation. Since the Dharmakaya does not abide in any sign, cut off the wrong path of meditating on signs and light. Since awareness is bliss-emptiness, clear and non-conceptual, cut off the wrong path of relying on the channels, energies, and drops in the body. Since things are not self-existent, cut off the wrong path of clinging to worldly things as self. Since primordial clarity continuously abides like a river, cut off the wrong path of mind-holding, session meditation, and effort. Since the two objects are gathered into the mind and not meditated upon, cut off all the wrong paths of those who desire appearances as the Dharmakaya. Since the Dharmakaya self-arises at the present time, cut off the wrong path of obtaining results from outside. Since self-grasping is not established in the root Dharmakaya, cut off the wrong path of those with attachment. Meditation
