I am convinced that it is the Great Path, because all phenomena converge in the mind. I am convinced that it is the root of all things, because everything abides in the mind. I am convinced that it is the basis of all things, because everything arises from the mind. I am convinced that it is the source of all things, because everything is made by the mind. I am convinced that it is the teacher of all things, because sarva (藏文:སརྦ་,梵文天城体:सर्व,梵文罗马拟音:sarva, meaning: all) is not separate from the mind. I am convinced that it is the essence of all things, because it pervades everything without appearance. I am convinced that it is vast and expansive, because it cannot be counted as one or many. I am convinced that it is the single bindu, because it is unchanging in the three times. I am convinced that it is the indestructible victory banner, because the nature of dharma is uncertain. I am convinced that it is the view without grasping, because although it is present within oneself, it is difficult to realize. I am convinced that it is the secret instruction. Thus it was said. From "The Treasure Trove of the Magical Key," the twenty-fifth chapter, which explains how to have conviction in the view of Dzogchen. Again, it was asked: Kye! Kye! Lord of Secrets! For the yogi who possesses confidence, Is there fear of hope and doubt, or not? Please, Lord of Secrets, explain. He said: Great Bodhisattva, listen! For the great garuda who soars in the sky with fully developed wings, There is no fear of the dangers of ravines, precipices, and oceans. For the lion who lies on the summit of a snow mountain with complete strength, There is no fear of the dangers of ordinary wild beasts. For the yogi who possesses great confidence of awareness, There is no fear of the precipice of the three realms of samsara. For the yogi who possesses confidence, If he realizes the meaning of no self-nature, Whether signs appear or do not appear is fine. If he realizes the meaning of no birth and no death, Whether conditioned things are permanent or impermanent is fine. If he realizes the meaning of being primordially so, Whether he strives now or does not strive is fine. If he sees the meaning of non-duality, Whether he differentiates into many or does not differentiate is fine. If he realizes the meaning of equality, Whether he distinguishes between good and bad is fine. If he finds the path that cannot be traversed, Whether he dwells high or does not dwell high is fine. If he realizes the meaning of no clarity and no obscurity, Whether darkness dawns or does not dawn is fine. If he finds the path that cannot be expressed, Whether he is skilled in terminology or not is fine. Thus it was said. From "The Treasure Trove of the Magical Key," the view of Dzogchen.

The Twenty-sixth Chapter, Concerning the Instruction of Conviction. Again, a question: Kye Kye, Lord of Secrets! This essential pith instruction, whose field of practice is it? Please instruct. Answer: Great Bodhisattva, listen! Even the milk of a white lioness should be milked into a precious vessel. If it is milked into a bad vessel, both the vessel and the essence will be lost. Even the king of foods, amrita, should be eaten by one with a strong body. If a weak-stomached person eats it, it will cause tumors. This amrita of the view of Dharma is the field of practice for some intelligent people. If it is shown to those of inferior intelligence, both the vessel and the essence will be lost. Thus it is said. From the Magical Key of the Treasury, the Twenty-seventh Chapter, Concerning the Instruction That the View of the Great Perfection is Uncommon to All. Again, a question: Kye Kye, Lord of Secrets! With the view of the Great Perfection, how are all Dharmas bound together? Please instruct, Lord of Secrets. Answer: Listen! The general of the path is bound by the town. The general of the water springs is bound by the ocean. The general of the seven mountains is bound by the mountain king. The general of the four elements is bound by the sky. The general of the eight vehicles is bound by Atiyoga. The general of the three kayas is bound by the Dharmakaya. The general of the five wisdoms is bound by the great self-born wisdom. The general of all appearances and existences is bound by the nature of reality, Bodhicitta. Thus it is said. From the Magical Key of the Treasury, the Twenty-eighth Chapter, Concerning How the General of All Dharmas is Bound by the View of the Great Perfection. Again, a question: Kye Kye, Lord of Secrets! In the nature of reality of Bodhicitta, how are the intentions of the Buddhas gathered? Please instruct, Lord of Secrets. Answer: Kye! Great Bodhisattva, listen! In the nature of reality of Bodhicitta, the intentions of all the Buddhas are gathered. The general gathering, the specific gathering, all are gathered. Gathered by example, gathered by meaning. Gathered in agreement with signs and reasons. The instruction of the general gathering is: The intention of the Sugata Shakyamuni and the two thousand Buddhas is also gathered in the nature of reality, Bodhicitta. The instruction of the specific gathering is: The intention of Samantabhadra is gathered, gathered without acceptance or rejection of good or bad. The intention of Vajrasattva is gathered, birth
