Benefiting the world, one obtains the fruit here, Surely in the bardo, one obtains the ground of appearance, The fruit of the three bodies is also enjoyed in the Sahajakaya. Just by holding this tantra, Without cultivation, effortless spontaneous meditation arises, Without learning, all dharmas are naturally known, Without instruction, the oral teachings are instantly mastered, The tantras not spoken by the guru are self-understood, Without generating, the yidam is seen, and the deity also appears. Therefore, rely on this tantra, Whichever yogi is greatly fortunate, Just by holding this, one obtains accomplishment, Acting and enjoying like the Buddha, Purifying all the abodes of the lower realms, Entering the unwavering path of great bliss. Having gained confidence in the self-appearance, self-familiarized, The wisdom that floats in the space and the taming are inseparable, finding fearlessness. The secret, the supreme secret, the unsurpassed, These dharmas, The definitive essence, the innermost secret, To whomsoever this appears, They also obtain the empowerment of the Buddhas who abide in the three times, In their own continuum, they obtain the unfailing, inseparable dharani. Thus, from the great tantra of the union of the sun and moon, The first chapter, which includes the method of explaining the basis for the arising of the tantra. Agamma: Then, how all phenomena abide as dreamlike and illusory, urged by the indication of the bardo abiding in its own nature, These instructions that determine all appearances: The elements and the aggregates, The sources and the faculties, Objects and object-possessors, and consciousnesses, How they abide, determine. The yogi who knows these, Obtains mastery over all appearances. Who grasps those objects? The one endowed with yoga, How to know these elements and so on. Immovable One again asked: O Bhagavan, What are the five elements that you spoke of earlier? What is called an aggregate? What are the faculties? What is called a source? What are the objects? What is called an object-possessor? I am doubtful about these, Because I have become of two minds, I have not understood the meaning of these, Please explain, O Bhagavan. Then the Bhagavan spoke: O Great Hero, listen, I will explain their meaning,

There are two realms: the realm encompassed by the external environment and the realm encompassed by the internal mind. The Inconceivable Conqueror further inquired: "Wonderful! Wonderful! Blessed One, what is the realm encompassed by the external environment? Which categories do the realms encompassed by the internal mind fall into? Please explain the meaning of these to me." The reply came: "Great Conqueror, listen! The realm encompassed by the external environment is: the earth element generates the foundation of the body, hence it is a realm; the water element gathers all names, hence it is a realm; the fire element ripens all objects, hence it is a realm; the wind element sustains all moving worlds, hence it is a realm; the space element holds all faculties, hence it is a realm. The realm encompassed by the internal mind has two aspects: the container realm that gathers the mind, and the realm that arises from the nature of mind itself. The container realm is: the form realm arising from the great basis of mindfulness of the mind, the formless realm arising from mindfulness, and the desire realm arising from holding individual mindfulness. The realm arising from the nature of mind is: the eye realm arising from the self-illuminating aspect of awareness, the ear realm arising from the one-pointedness of awareness, the nose realm arising from the boundlessness of awareness, the tongue realm arising from the gathering of all awarenesses into one place, the mind realm arising from the pervasiveness of awareness, the body realm arising from being the support of all awarenesses, the eye consciousness realm because it holds name and form, the ear consciousness realm because it holds accomplished actions, the nose consciousness realm because it holds following others, the tongue consciousness realm because it experiences things, the mind consciousness realm because it pervades all things and non-things, the body consciousness realm because it gathers all meanings, the eye contact realm because it holds distorted discriminations about things and accomplishes objects, the ear contact realm because it holds the mind of appearance and accomplishes scattering. The awarenesses that arise again and again, obtaining limitlessness, simultaneously gather and steal the minds of others."
