Thus, the great state of spontaneous perfection came into being. Its wisdom gate was not obstructed, and thus the appearance of the enjoyment body came into being. The gate of qualities was not obstructed, and thus the appearance of the emanation body of self-nature came into being. Its compassion gate was not obstructed, and thus the impure appearance came into being. From this, the illusion of appearances formed in various ways, and samsara was established. This also, in one great state, reveals the illusion of the basis of mantra. It appears as four appearances: the play of the body, pure wisdom and the five lights, appearing in various ways, appearing as the common karma of sentient beings. This is also the illusion of the four conditions, and ultimately it also comes down to the four conditions. Because of the condition of holding the cause as having an object, it is mistaken for the cause of various fruits. Because of the condition of holding the owner as having an object, it is mistaken for various syllables of the name. Because of the condition of holding the object as having wisdom, it is mistaken that the fruit has no end. Because of the condition of holding immediately after that, it is mistaken for various appearances. This is the great illusion of the basis of mantra. This is also the way of appearance, the cause of ignorance, not revealing the cause of appearance. It appears together with its own nature. That ignorance also, together with the five root afflictions, gathers many conceptualizations. Together with thousands of conditions, together with various ways of appearing, it is filled with ways of appearing. This is also from the state of the spontaneously accomplished precious box, the appearance is not obstructed, the basis does not change but the appearance changes, following various objects and conceptualizing everything. Although the appearance of the Dharma body does not change, in the appearance of illusion, it seems to be changing. Although Vajrasattva has no illusion, he shows sentient beings the way of illusion. Finally, one's own appearance is separated from the basis by one's own conditions. Not knowing that the non-dual appearance is self-arisen, because of holding the illusion as the owner, it is the condition of the owner. Not knowing that the fruit of self-awareness is self-arisen, holding the cause itself as dependent, it is the condition of the cause. Not knowing that the object and consciousness are empty, because of holding the object as the object, it is the condition of the object's own nature. Not knowing that the light is self-arisen depending on time, because the consciousness of holding what is not that as that arises, it is the similar immediately following condition. The condition of the cause, the condition of the owner, the condition of the object.

Likewise, it is the unthinking cause of that, ignorance. From the Tantra of Great Auspicious Beauty, the second chapter, which shows how confusion arises in the base. Then again, in the retinue of the pure appearance, the expanse of the first awareness is shown. Awareness, the Dharmakaya, speaks: O retinue of the pure appearance of awareness, listen all you who appear! Second, the way of appearance is shown. These great awarenesses of the base appearance should be seen as the clear inner light of a lamp. The appearance of the Dharmakaya is connected with the great reality. That is, in one great reality, four ways of appearing arise, as follows: The reality of awareness and dharmata is clear like the mandala of a mirror and abides without separation. The cause of ignorance, together with the self-same one, and the co-emergent one, and the imputed one, is not obscured by conditions. Great primordial purity. Awareness without thought. It is said that a true Buddha has not yet arisen. It has not fallen to the side of samsara and nirvana. The place where impure sentient beings have not arisen. The great primordial sound of unmoving awareness. It is unspeakable, because it is empty from the beginning. It is immeasurable, because it is free from the object to be grasped. It is without object, because it is free from what is to be seen. It is unmeasurable, because it is free from object. It is uncountable, because it is free from terms. Nothing can be determined, because it is difficult to realize. It cannot be expressed by words such as sound and measure. Awareness has no dharma, so it cannot be made an object of knowledge. It does not see samsara, because it is free from grasping and being grasped. Samsara does not see it. Because there is no thought, it does not practice dharma. Because the Buddha has no practice of dharma, dharma does not realize its meaning. Because it is not a word, it is not samsara. Because there is no falling, it is not nirvana. Because it first fell into samsara, it is not the base. Because it is not permanent, it is not appearance. It is not appearance, it is not appearance. Obviously, it is not darkness. It is self-appearance. It is not the path, because there is no action, there is no going. It does not need to rely on words. It is not not going, because it causes appearance to arise as the path. It is not the result, because it is already ripe. It is not abandoned, because it abides in itself. It is not obtained, it is not obtained. It is not other, it is the great expanse of awareness. From that, the spontaneously accomplished jewel
