起立与安卧,见行四道无有缺失,安住一处不动摇,证悟佛陀之行,然不寄托于此,十方一切刹土,如庵摩罗果般显现,然无能取所取,不惧魔王,不贪恋天女,不离正法,现证法性虚空界,不中断有为善根之流。此八大功德,乃是禅定之功德。如是示歧途与遮障之经终。

Rising and lying down, without failing in the four paths of view and conduct, abiding in one place without moving, realizing the conduct of the Buddha, yet not relying on it, all the realms of the ten directions, appearing as clear as an Emblica fruit, yet without grasping and clinging, not fearing the king of demons, not being attached to goddesses, not deviating from the true Dharma, directly realizing the Dharmata space, not cutting off the stream of conditioned virtuous roots. These eight great qualities are the qualities of meditation. Thus concludes the Sutra Showing the Wrong Paths and Obscurations.

I have taught this Dharma. Through the ears of beings, this lineage transmitted through the ear canal is called the meaning of history. The meaning of history has three aspects: speaking through blessing, speaking through self-nature, and speaking through beautiful words and phrases. Speaking through blessing: In the palace of the Dharma realm of self-nature, I, the teacher Samantabhadra, although without the body and speech of signs, in the unborn Dharma nature, in the place where there is no good or bad to be taken or abandoned, bless it as the nature of Samantabhadra, and transmit it to the heart of Vajrasattva. This is called speaking through blessing. Speaking through self-nature: In the palace of the unborn Dharma realm, the teacher Vajrasattva also has no body and speech of signs, but in the unborn Dharma nature, in the self-nature of no birth and no death, and in the self-nature of Vajra, to the emanated beings with good fortune, in the Akanishta realm of wisdom, it is taught. This is called speaking through self-nature. Speaking through beautiful words and phrases: In this place where the six realms of Jambudvipa reside, to the emanated beings with good fortune, with the unborn Dharma nature, by speaking the words of no birth, as a symbol of the meaning of no birth, on precious golden scrolls, with ink made of melted lapis lazuli, combining words and letters to write, for the benefit of future generations, it is taught. This is called speaking through beautiful words and phrases. Therefore, it is called the ear-canal lineage. The revealed lineage can also be divided into two types. That is, the straight lineage and the definite lineage. What is the straight lineage? It should be known that there are seven types. Guiding to the land of faith and practice, guiding to the land of radiating light, guiding to the land of Vajradhara, guiding to the land of dense Dharma nature, guiding to the land of body and speech Vajra, guiding to the land of non-duality, guiding to the land beyond diligent practice. These seven should be known. Its meaning is as follows: The lineage that guides to the land of faith and practice, guides the path of the Four Noble Truths, proclaims the teachings of abandonment and cessation, and guides to the first land of tolerance. The lineage that guides to the land of radiating light, guides the path of the ten bhumis, proclaims the teachings of the ten perfections, in the light beyond conceptualization.

Leading to a certain place. The guidance to lead to the Vajra Holder's place is: By guiding the path of the three purities, guiding the path of the eleven branches, leading to the place of the Vajra Holder. The guidance to lead to the dense place is: By guiding the path of no characteristics, proclaiming the prophecy of the four mudras, leading to the dense Dharmata place. The guidance to lead to Body, Speech, and Vajra is: By guiding the three samadhis, prophesying the purity of one's own continuum, leading to the place of Body, Speech, and Vajra. The guidance to lead to the non-dual place is: By guiding the realm and wisdom, proclaiming the nature of appearance, leading to the non-differentiated place. The guidance to lead to beyond effort and accomplishment is: By guiding the path of non-differentiation, proclaiming the spontaneously accomplished wisdom, leading to the place beyond effort and accomplishment. The seven meanings of the nine stages, by showing the existence of words and letters, I call it "the straight guidance." The meaning of this definitive guidance, for the Dharmata of Bodhicitta, I say is Vajrasattva. This is the true definition, which cannot be expressed by words and letters, beyond the scope of sound and concepts, free from addition and slander. For this meaning that transcends all, because it cannot be represented by anything, it is only given the name "definitive guidance," but in reality, it cannot be determined. Thus it is said. For this definitive guidance, it should be divided into two distinctions. For the nine faculties of sentient beings, there are nine corresponding vehicles of intention. To determine and show, mind and Dharma are inseparable, because all are unified in mind, therefore it is determined through nine ways. Because all are integrated into the mind, the nature of mind itself is the complete determination. If there is no determination of the nine vehicles of intention, then there are the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, through the reason of the Four Noble Truths, for the Dharmata arising from oneself, it is determined by abandoning and ceasing. Because abandoning and ceasing arises from oneself, it is not said to be determined. The Mahayana Bodhisattva, through the reason of the Two Truths, for the Dharmata arising from oneself, namely impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, it is determined by practicing and traversing. Because practicing the Dharma arising from oneself, it is not completely said to be determined. The matter of definitely obtaining the fruit, through the reason of the three purities, self
