Are they the same or different? Having heard these words, the all-knowing teacher spoke thus: To the matter inquired, I will answer, listen well, all assembled retinue. From the very beginning, in the basis of purity itself, Buddha and sentient beings, are not two separate entities. The Buddha who realizes the basis itself, abides in the two, form and wisdom. The sentient being who does not realize it, abides in body and habitual tendencies. Therefore, Buddha and sentient beings, one basis, different realization, there is no difference. At the time of the path, they appear separately. For example, like camphor medicine, knowing how to use it is the best of medicines, not knowing is the demon of life. Likewise, the basis of all, empty and clear, if realized, is the actual Buddha, if not realized, is the cause of samsara. The essence of meaning is without confusion, but due to the aggregation of four conditions, illusion arises. For example, the essence of a conch shell, there is no illusion of yellowness, etc., but to one with eye defects, it appears yellow. The dharmas of the realized Buddha, enter through eighteen unmixed doors. The nature of the first six dharmas, is unconditioned. The result is the ultimate three bodies. Not relying on the two, cause and effect, one cannot become a Buddha through conditioned dharmas. If one realizes the meaning of what has always been, then becoming a Buddha through unconditioned dharmas, is the path of simultaneous entry, it is the definitive, non-inverted true meaning. The nature of the second six dharmas, is the result not arising from cause, the oral instruction not relying on scripture, the Buddha not relying on mind, not lacking reliance on the four elements. The result does not rely on others, it is the nature of the Buddhas of the three times. The nature of the last six dharmas, is emptiness uncommon, clarity uncommon, bliss uncommon, emptiness perfected, clarity perfected, bliss perfected. Knowing suchness and the extent of things, purifying dissimilar aspects, increasing similar qualities, therefore, is the all-knowing Buddha. The dharmas of the unrealized sentient being, rely on the dharmas of cause and effect, arise from the habituation of habitual tendencies, becoming a Buddha through conditioned dharmas, six desires of gradual realization, giving rise to trust in interpretable meaning dharmas. Acting thus empties samsara, emptying samsara

The reason is, there are three doors and two efforts, which are averted by two searching methods and three methods. Know the outer door, the inner door, and the secret door. Search in 'So' and search in 'Lhu'. The 'So' of emptiness and the 'So' of awareness are not different, their essence is one. There are three ways to search in 'Lhu': externally, gather the consciousness into the object; internally, release the mind-essence from suffering; and leave the clarity in a state of non-grasping. Search with wisdom and means, and grasp means with wisdom like resin. By uniting the two, one becomes a Buddha.

Please reveal the fruit. The Omniscient Teacher declared: The ground is uncreated, It is the meaning of essence. Since samsara and nirvana are of one taste, The place where Buddhas and sentient beings arise, It is said to be the common ground of all. The path is realized by clarity and non-grasping, Shamatha and vipashyana are united in pairs, The place where various experiences arise, It is said that the fruit is made into the path. Completion is the fruit, The three realms and three bodies are not different, The place where self-benefit and other-benefit arise, It is said that the fruit has been ripe from the beginning. So it is said. From the Tantra of Establishing the Precious Noble Path, the fifth chapter is about showing the difference between Buddhas and sentient beings, and showing the ground, path, and fruit. Vajrasattva asked again: For the benefit of the assembled retinue, Omniscient Teacher, Dharma Lord, Please explain the extent of the tantra. The Omniscient Teacher declared: Assembled retinue, listen to me! I will explain the meaning of the tantra, Listen respectfully and keep it in mind. The tantra of cause and the tantra of path, The tantra of fruit, it is said to be three. This is the classification of secret mantra tantras. It is called tantra because of connection and immeasurability, And because of perfection. Tantra means continuity, Samsara is also considered tantra. The nature of secret mantra tantra, Is shown by eight kinds of complete knowledge: View, conduct, mandala, empowerment, Vows and activities, Practice, offering, it is said to be done. So it is said. Vajrasattva asked again: All-knowing one, what is your intention? For the benefit of future generations, Please explain this meaning in detail. The Omniscient Teacher declared: The view is wrong and inferior, And the view to be known is, Wisdom free from extremes, free from partiality, The grasping and the grasped, conceptualization, are cut off from the root. See reality as it is in reality, Seeing reality Is liberation. The meaning of conduct is threefold, Conduct that is not in accordance with ordinary worldly people, Conduct that is not in accordance with the mind of inferior views, The conduct of complete knowledge is, Various encounters without attachment. The mandala of self-awareness without beginning or end, By experiencing that very nature, one revolves, The manifestation of awareness is the mandala. The colored powder mandala is without remainder, By bestowing the empowerment of dharma on the mind, One obtains the empowerment of the power of awareness.
