Indeed! Some fools say this: Through the knowable and the agent, one can realize non-action. If the knower and the doer combine, then one realizes action. Wanting non-action after combining and doing is foolish. If awareness has no object, is it not awareness? For example, the whiteness of a conch shell, if there is no act of whitening, is it not white? That whiteness is inherently there. If you say so, then here too, refer to the names such as non-dual wisdom, complete purity, and the sphere of activity. If there is no object and no agent of awareness, it is self-awareness because it is free from action. If there is an object of awareness, why is it self-born and self-aware? If awareness arises from conditions, why wouldn't conditions be destroyed by an opponent? Self-awareness is the realization of the meaning of the nature of reality, and awareness through conditions is the analysis and realization of phenomena. They are similar in realization, but they are samsara and nirvana. Because self-awareness is not constantly present, it is not reasonable for all fools. Therefore, one should examine this: According to your own tenets, is there realization now or not? If there is, is it constant or not constant? If it is constant, is there grasping and apprehended or not? If there is, why is it realization? If there is not, it contradicts direct perception. Are realization and Buddhahood one or not one? If they are one, then the Buddha is subject to birth and aging. What harm is there if it does not increase, and what benefit is there if it increases? Ignorant scholars say this: Realization arises from conditions, and that is self-awareness. One needs realization, non-action, practice, and spontaneous accomplishment. For example, in worldly phenomena, it is fire, and there is nothing colder than this. Do you agree with that statement or not? Therefore, the wise should distinguish between self-origination and dependent origination, like seeds and fruits, samsara and nirvana. The term self-origination is correct knowledge. The cause of terms is the four elements. From that, it arises, and it arises in that way. That is dependent origination. Correct self-origination is like this: It is just the exhaustion of deluded thoughts. In short, the nature of things is not mind and mental objects, so view, meditation, action, result, vows, great compassion, and compassion are not mental objects. Then there is the nature of things, through the purity of mind and mental objects, it is pure, but not truly so. Purity after mental objects arise is pure and also true. If the four have mind, what kind of mind is that? What kind of object is that? If it is not like that, whatever is on the path is not that itself, but deviates from that. Oh, born one!

I am self-arisen, though words are similar, meanings differ. O you who are born of deluded self-arisenness, arise! That which is called the nature of self-arisenness, the essence of unborn and uncreated. That is, from this, this arises, thus it arises. By this, this arises, at this time it arises. Without a producer and a cause of production, without conditions, it is self-arisen. If any of those exist, then it is not self-arisen but interdependent. In short, interdependence is real. It is impossible for a self-extinguished dharma to exist, therefore, by the sudden purity of mind, All past dharmas are spontaneously accomplished, without object, mind, or focus. You should know it thus. Thus, the secret essence of the difference between self-arisenness and interdependence is the fifteenth. Homage to the Bhagavan and the nature of awareness. The distinctions of vehicles are inconceivable, but in brief, they are five bases and five paths. The five bases of awareness are as follows: Stating as separate awareness, self-awareness that is not separate, Self-awareness that is truly separate, self-awareness that is not separate. The base is the self-awareness of activity, one is self-awareness without activity. The base is accumulated by grasping, one is the purification of thoughts. True self with self-nature, one is the awareness of selflessness and real peace. The three, self, self, and awareness, are not the awareness of dharmata. The three are not separate, fools desire selfless self-awareness. That is the wise, but does not understand. The paths to that are five, as follows: Stating as separate abandoning of the Shravakas, separate non-existence prevents the Pratyekabuddhas. Half practice, half accomplishment is only mind, object and mind are not established, Madhyamaka is purified. Object and mind are non-dual, praising non-action, know the five paths thus. The five self-awarenesses are as follows: Stating as separate self-awareness, in both ultimate truth and conventional truth, Object and mind are separately connected, object itself is separate, mind is separate. All of them possess the same connection, mind is true, object is inexpressible. Its connection is the same as before, separate true self-awareness, Object is the conventional illusory appearance, mind is clear awareness, truly clear. Its connection possesses constancy, separate true self-awareness, All designations such as self or other, are empty of self by designation. All are one nature, free from elaboration, separate non-existent self-awareness, object and mind are separately non-existent, all
