It is not. The first Buddha of original meaning, Retinue and past, he does not dwell. The distinctions of the way of abiding of characteristics, Possessing the three bodies and three wisdoms. Primordial purity, spontaneously accomplished, in all-pervasiveness, The essence's basis, dwells beyond expression. There is no addition, no terminology, no grasping, no grasped, There are no Buddhas, sentient beings, dharmas, etc. Liberation and non-liberation, realization and non-realization, The primordial, first protector, dwells beyond extremes. The way of abiding of the sole self-abiding. In the purity of the basis, the Dharmakaya, The way of perfecting the power of awareness is as follows: Wind, awareness, and space, the three, The wisdom that accomplishes all actions is, Dwells in the manner of an inseparable unity. Wisdom is not moved by the wind, On the stainless, naked awareness, There is no existence of ignorance, no name. The count of one and two is exhausted, The wisdom, the nature of reality, is free from the basis of imputation. Because there is no obstruction to its power and qualities, Space, clarity, and emptiness have no increase or decrease. The action-accomplishing wisdom is its own light. The essence of the five wisdoms, The light, green, variegated, shimmering, The essence of awareness, the play of the realm appears. There is no movement in the basis, In the realm of action-accomplishing wisdom, it is clear. That which is wisdom condensed into essence, The power of wind and awareness does not move, In the great perfection, it abides thus. It explains the distinctions of the basis, The similar examples are as follows: Emptiness, vastness, pervasiveness, It abides like space. Stainless, clear, pure, transparent, It abides like stainless crystal. Primordially unborn, without foundation, In the emptiness of the three times, timelessness, it dwells. Without a place of origin, empty of cause, Without a place of birth, empty of condition, Without cessation, empty of essence, Without fixed form, empty of substance, Without beginning or end, empty of nature, Without thought or movement, empty of characteristic, Without inside or outside, empty of grasper and grasped, Without things, empty of permanence, Without cessation, empty of annihilation, Without edge, center, or direction, empty of both, Abandoning the stain of faults, empty of defect, Not abandoning faults, empty of antidote, Primordially pure, empty of self, Unobstructed powers, clear in the realm. The clear ocean abides like space, Buddhas, sentient beings, teachers, teachings, Before the unmade beginning, The way of abiding of all-pervading wisdom, The way of abiding of the first general basis. Having said thus, he abides serenely in the realm of primordial purity. Gya Gya Gya (藏文:རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ།)! Tha.

From the Longchen Rabjam Gyud, the Quintessence of All Yanas, the Second Chapter, which teaches the abiding mode of the primordial general ground. Then, Vajrasattva asked Kunsang (Samantabhadra) thus: "Although you have excellently, profoundly, and extensively explained the pre-existence of the initial general ground and the abiding modes of all-pervading wisdom, please explain how the three realms revolve, through the unerring appearances themselves." In response to this request, the Teacher himself proclaimed: "Listen, Vajrasattva and others, the retinues of unceasing self-power. There is no error in my teachings. With an unerring, faultless mind, hold all of this in your mind. Alas! As above, although the ground is without error, the error of samsara and nirvana is shown as the way of flowing from the expanse of the ground. From the difference between the ground and the ground-wisdom, samsara and nirvana are divided. Without having done even a hair's breadth of good, it is inherently manifest enlightenment. Without having done even a hair's breadth of evil, one wanders in the three realms and six classes of beings. Moreover, the first, the original state, is the self-existing wind of the ground's wisdom, the naked awareness of the ground, the clear emptiness of the ground's sky, and the four activities-accomplishing wisdoms of the ground. It is the nature of indivisible oneness, abiding like thick yogurt. Therein, such movement arises: The wisdom-wind lifts awareness, awareness sees the door and opens the sky. The power of activities-accomplishing awareness does not cease; it moves slightly, whether moving or not moving; it flows slightly, whether flowing or not flowing. Although there is no movement in the ground, movement arises from the power of awareness. That movement is called 'mind'. It is also the power of spontaneous compassion. At first, like the steam of gold, or the breath of a small bird, or the causeless movement of a sparrow, or a fraction of a hundredth part of a horse's tail being split. Awareness itself also transforms into mind, called co-emergent ignorance, a non-existent vessel opening and lying dormant. Its essence transcends all grounds, its nature is the very cause of delusion. The ground's unfixed self-power is constant. It is also universally designated as three: co-emergent and ego-possessing. The cause of all is the same, like the hand's palm and back being reversed. From that awareness, appearances arise: subtle and gross, many thoughts. Light-circles of five colors appear in the expanse of empty space. Awareness ceases and becomes mind.
