Concluding remarks. As stated in the Root Tantra: The chapter on indicating the suchness of all things, which is the second chapter. Then, the Teacher to the assembly, explained the Great Perfection by repeating its very nature. Self-existing spontaneous perfection is the Great Perfection. The Great Perfection has existed from the very beginning. In the nature of all perfections, there is no duality of good and bad, acceptance and rejection. The vehicles, paths, meditation, practice, and striving are said to contradict this Great Perfection. The Vajra body, without the duality of cause and effect, spontaneously abides without birth and death. The meaning of abiding is without duality. For example, there is no Dharma and Buddha. By looking with views, it appears as confusion. Examining the causal vehicles is a mistake. The stages of the path are fundamentally nonexistent. The path is the direct path of completion. Entering, viewing, guarding, and protecting, etc., are spontaneously perfect from the beginning without seeking. Without meditation and mental doubt, the Great Perfection is the expanse of space. For the expanse of space, there is no need to guard, meditate, enter, view, or practice. The Great Perfection expanse is immeasurable in any way. This great expanse is like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Those who seek this, do not seek it from elsewhere. Abiding in oneself, if one seeks it from elsewhere, one will not find it even if one seeks for three kalpas. Which Buddhas have not sought this, likewise sentient beings seeking this will not find it. Without seeking, everything abides in its own nature. Those individuals who abide on the path of effort and practice, even if they melt gold in silver, they will not create gold. Expressing symbolism in words, one will decline from the path. How can it become the meaning of this Great Perfection? For the Dharma nature without appearance and non-appearance, whatever one thinks with one's own mind will be confused. If one does not abide in the thought itself, then that is the one and only essence. This Great Perfection, which does not manifestly abide, cannot be symbolized even by the Buddhas. Likewise, there is no looking with views. If one leaves it without looking, that is the view. If one does not abide in that nature, those are the Bodhi Great Perfection. This Great Perfection, which does not manifestly abide, cannot be symbolized even by the Buddhas themselves. Seeking and striving cannot cure the disease. Abiding without seeking is the Great Perfection. There is no door or cave, nothing to be seen, no meaning of abiding. For the Great Perfection of completely pure conduct, entering, viewing, guarding, and speaking are dualistic confusions. Not entering, not viewing, not guarding, not abiding on the path of practice and effort, that is its nature, the Great Perfection. Whatever

Without pointing to a lama, without meditating, not seeking anything, there is nothing to seek. Everything is spontaneously complete, from the beginning it is Great Perfection, It is said to be a single play of the Buddha himself. Thus, in the root tantra, the third chapter is the chapter on showing that Dzogchen is beyond recitation and diligent practice. Then, the teacher said to the assembly: Showing the near and far of the path is: Whatever you practice, whatever you look at, whatever you meditate on, Without a path, going on the path is a mistake. This Dzogchen has no doors or walls, Everything is the single Vajra Body, The non-dual, unchanging, true path. Those who want to travel by the path, Entering the path without a path is confusion, Even if you break through the ten bhumis, it obscures enlightenment. If there is no meaning in the abiding nature of not traveling, Then the cause of going to heaven will be seized by afflictions. Entering the path without a path, it is very difficult to find the place, Like an elephant thirsty for water chasing a mirage, Even if you travel for kalpas, you will not reach it, it is very difficult. This essence of the one vehicle, With conceptualization, many vehicle paths are opened, Opening many is this itself, Apart from this, the path cannot be found, Even if the path is found, it is a mistaken path, Like an elephant sinking into the mud. Obtaining by traveling the path, Is not in accordance with the uncreated Dharma, Because of seeing this, there is no enlightenment, There is no reaching the peak of the path, The place where you have not gone is the nature of suchness, There is no path more blissful than this definite path. Thus, in the root tantra, the fourth chapter is the chapter on showing the near and far of the paths of the higher and lower vehicles. Then, the teacher said to the assembly: With the actions of the compounded body and speech, Showing that it is difficult to obtain the fruit of enlightenment, Thus, that meaning is uncompounded from the beginning, Without destruction in the three times, therefore it is the Vajra Body, With this tantra shown, the fruit cannot be achieved. If the mudras such as rituals, The path of liberation itself does not abide, If with that basis, the Buddhas of the three times find the path, Then everything abides in the nature of the Dharmata mudra, The illusory mudra is subdued by the ritual mudra, Abiding on the path of the fruit of liberation, Thus, if the path of purity is found, Then seeing, hearing, etc., abide in the nature of the mudra, With offerings and generosity, etc., If not seized by the Vajra mind, Then with great pride, It will not be liberated from bondage, Virtuous roots give rise to suffering
