Nana. No matter how the ministers wield their power, they cannot shake the nature of the king. This is the characteristic of the highest realization. The characteristic of the middling faculty is: If the king has not seized the throne, the ministers will usurp the king's power. The ministers will be imprisoned, and the king, having seized the throne, will not move. The characteristic of the king having seized the throne is: Entrusting the ocean to a dam, making it unmoving and firm. With the golden hook of wisdom, bestowing autonomy on awareness. This is not meditative absorption, but subsequent attainment. This is the standard of practice. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of Burning Corpses in the Charnel Ground, the Third Chapter: Identifying Awareness after Destroying the Corpse. Again it was asked: "O, fierce and wrathful Bhagavan! In the corpse, the king and ministers are directly shown, what are the ways of the populace and liberation? Please speak from the state of equanimity." Again it was said: "Those of my retinue that I have taught, be sure to hold them! Awareness is like an unchanging king. The ministers engage in various grasping. The populace uses external objects as objects of enjoyment. The accumulating populace and the offering populace. In the time of non-realization, the five consciousnesses of the five senses, through various causes, enjoy external objects. Three realms of pleasant and unpleasant arise. Engaging in various enjoyments, they wander in the external world. Continuously accumulating grasping and apprehending thoughts. They are obscured for a long time by the two obscurations. They grasp ignorance as the self. They constantly wander in the six realms. In the time of non-realization, it appears thus. The accumulating populace, they enjoy external objects. The mind-consciousness grasps the self as real. The king wanders in the darkness." Again it was said: "The offering populace is like this: The consciousnesses of the five senses, are the five children of bodhichitta. The eye is the essence of earth, awareness arises in the realm of appearances. The seen forms are variously enjoyed. The nature of awareness is without grasping, from the state of non-grasping, power arises. A seal is placed on all appearances. In the unchanging state, they are naturally liberated. At the time of arising, it is the adornment of compassion, at the time of liberation, the king is pleased. The essence of earth holds beings. The ear is Vajrapani, what is to be heard is unceasingly enjoyed in the realm of objects. With sound as an offering of music, awareness dissolves into the unborn state. Awareness is a self-luminous symbol, the sound dissolves into self-luminous purity. This is the offering of the great unborn. The nose is

The essence of space is the power of awareness to be meditated upon. The stains of appearances are naturally clear. The stain itself is the resonance of awareness, and the nature of the stain has no substance. Even when it arises, it arises from the state of awareness. Even when it dissolves, it dissolves into the state of awareness. Equality dissolves into the expanse of the heart. The tongue is the youthful Avalokiteśvara. The supreme taste is clear from the state of awareness. It is an offering of various tastes. Taste dissolves into non-dual awareness. Awareness itself is the Dharmakāya. Form is an offering of the body. Great bliss is an offering of the heart. Scent is an offering of speech. Taste is an offering of qualities. The body is the complete removal of obscurations. Various objects of touch are enjoyed in the realm of experience. Experiencing great bliss, great bliss dissolves into the state of non-duality. Touch is an offering of activity. When awareness is self-liberated, just knowing, the king of awareness attains self-mastery. In the non-dual Dharmakāya of awareness, there is neither offering nor non-offering. When realization is found to be great bliss, in terms of meaning, there is no offering. It is merely designated from the aspect of representation. Whatever appears, whatever exists, is the power of awareness. If one does not realize from the state of the king, ministers and subjects cannot exist. Even if named, it is the power of awareness. Playful activities and compassionate actions arise. Thus, realization is the supreme view. So it is said. From the tantra of burning corpses in the charnel ground, the fourth chapter, the explanation of the people. Again, it was asked: "Alas, alas, wrathful one with a majestic frown, how does one separate from the corpse? What is the path of the channels like?" Thus it was asked. The teacher replied: "Listen carefully, all of you who are my retinue. The distinctions within the corpse are as follows: In the ocean of the sun, there is awareness itself. The essence of awareness is like a sesame seed. Its own form is represented by the lines of hair. Its own resonance is equal to the extent of space. Awareness is without substance, clear in space itself. Space without appearance is like a rainbow. It has always existed, unchanging in the three times. Without abandoning or holding, relax and rest. It is called the Dharmakāya. The distinctions of the awareness Dharmakāya are as follows: From the door of the appearance of reality, when wisdom arises unceasingly, wisdom is the Sambhogakāya. Without obstruction, it knows and enjoys everything. This represents the five wisdom bodies, like the unchanging Vajra body. That itself is the unceasing quality, appearing as the great body of Ratnasambhava.
