Birth is not extinguished, why do you not think? Because the place is uncertain. Because skill and merit are inexhaustible, it only appears as play, it is the basis of perfect variety. Because it is non-existent, it appears, and because it appears, it is empty. It has the limbs of entering appearance and emptiness. Buddhas and sentient beings are all objects. Thus, it manifestly abides as the basis. It abides only in its own nature, but in terms of essence, it is empty. Because the limbs are expanded, wisdom is complete. Because it is self-abiding and spontaneously accomplished, there is no acceptance or rejection here. Fourteenth question and answer. From the all-pervading wisdom of great compassion, the gate of inexhaustible variety arises. It seems to be exhausted, but the essence is complete. From the emptiness of the Dharmakaya, the part of wisdom and knowledge is complete, and it appears to sentient beings with the mind. Without it, the center of samsara and nirvana is cut off, and it is known and clear with knowledge. Self-awareness From the nature of clarity, the power of nature is compassion itself. It is uninterrupted and without extinction. From the aspect of the purity of the elements, the inaction is one complete. Like light from the sun, the self-nature is without obscuration. Fifteenth question and answer. From that, the wisdom of the Enjoyment Body, which grasps characteristics, should be explained. Like mirror wisdom, the form is clear. Shape and color, the appearance part is complete. Because white is without stain. Self-nature appears, connecting samsara and nirvana. Because the forms of all dharmas are seen, it is called wisdom by itself. Clear and empty, liberated in emptiness. The conceptualization of grasping liberation is exhausted. There is no other, the basis of liberation is complete. Sixteenth question and answer. What is called equality is two equal causes and three equal conditions. By equal time and measure. Here there is no duality, separated from awareness. Inseparable, indivisible, self-abiding. What is called equality, in the nature of dharma, is free from suffering and development. What is called nature is without fabrication, without effort. Self-nature abides, essence is empty. The conceptualizations of mind-nature are all extinguished. Where does what is called wisdom abide? By realizing its characteristics, it does not abide in samsara or nirvana. Seventeenth question and answer. Individual realization is the category of sense consciousness. Whatever appears, its dharma, the order is individually clear. After examining self-appearance, consciousness becomes the nature of the object. What is called individual arises from difference in the manner of an antidote. What is called realization is seeing the characteristics.
