Since there is no component of dust, therefore, from here, the teachings that are revealed, are certain to be established and their meaning manifest, undoubtedly producing results. Therefore, the essence of the teachings is shown. Wonderful! Wonderful! Joyful and combined. Because the questions asked are clearly explained, the pervader appears from pure language, manifesting such a form of letters. In the naturally unadorned sky, unarranged words appear spontaneously, presented in the manner of questions and answers. The origin of words, accomplished by natural abiding, appears in this way. Although it is said there are seventy questions, in reality there are only six key points. First question and answer: The necessity of the elements is as follows: The function of water is to gather the clear parts and to separate the impurities. Because it acts on each individual body, it is necessary to understand the measure and number. The function of earth is to hold the foundation and to perform the work of forming and establishing. Maturing, it produces roots and so on. It is necessary to understand the conventional bindu. The function of fire is to eliminate, expand, and produce, as well as to mature and clarify. Burning and spreading, it produces eyes and so on. It is necessary to understand all warmth. The function of wind is to empty and lift, and to move and shake. Moving and stretching, it maintains the body, and it is necessary to understand the abiding of the mind. The great mandala of the four great elements, acting as the cause for the formation of bodies and so on, abides and holds in the middle, and ultimately performs all the work of destruction. The four great elements are a single cause, appearing as the master who performs various activities. Therefore, it is necessary to be skilled in the meaning of accomplishing actions for oneself and others. Second question and answer: The meaning of the branches is like this: The wisdom of the Buddhas, the order of clear expression of words, is through the indication of names and the scriptures, in order to enable wisdom to understand sequentially and simultaneously, and thus to provide detailed explanations. The scriptures are presented in two ways: the establishment of the body itself and the expansion through the meaning of the branches. The body is the basis of two discussions, in order to surpass others, it is combined with the uncommon body. In order to be consistent with other vehicles, through the common basis of discussion, to inspire confidence in one's own retinue, the teachings are given, from the object to be tamed to the tamer, thereby enabling the teachings to abide. The branches are examples and the meaning of words. Concluding with six chapters.
