Mind. Courage is unwavering courage. Mind is the mind for both samsara and nirvana. Courage is great courage in non-duality. Mind is the mind in unchanging nature. Courage is uncreated, without attachment. Mind is the mind without object-mind. Courage is without good or bad, acceptance or rejection. Mind is the mind for the mother of Dharma-nature. Courage is courage without distinction between mother and child. Mind is the mind arising from the unchanging space. Courage is the courage arising in the inexpressible great bliss space. Thus it was said. Nangsrid Khajor Dudtsi Chudthig (Appearance and Existence Combined, Nectar Essence Drop). From the Tantra that Cuts the Beginning and End of Samsara, the chapter showing the definition of Sempa (Mind) is the eightieth. Then Vajrasattva. Asked Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra) himself this. Please explain the meaning of self-arisen. After asking like this. Then the Teacher said this to the assembly. Self is the basis of the primordial, originally existing. Arisen is just a little bit of mind. Self is the basis of non-substantial, all-pervading. Arisen is the wind abiding in the basis. Self is the basis of mind slightly moving. Arisen is arising from slight change. Self is the general basis of all. Arisen is arising as five self-appearing lights. Self is the mandala of light. Arisen is arising as five rays of clear light. Self is the nature of the five rays. Arisen is the five appearances of consciousness. Self is the consciousness of primordiality. Arisen is the meaning of abiding, not awakened. The original meaning is not awakened, the meaning is not awakened. Therefore, it is said to be ignorance and delusion. Self is the door of ignorance and delusion. Arisen is arising of awareness, mind, heart, and thought. Self is the three ways of delusion. Arisen is arising of the six realms, three worlds, and samsara. Self is one's own mind. Arisen is arising of eighty-four thousand conceptual thoughts. Self is the mind of unenlightened samsara. Arisen is arising of eighty-four thousand afflictions. Thus it was said. Nangsrid Khajor Dudtsi Chudthig (Appearance and Existence Combined, Nectar Essence Drop). From the Tantra that Cuts the Beginning and End of Samsara, the chapter on the definition of self-arisen, not awakened, samsara arises and wanders, is the eighty-first. Then Vajrasattva. Asked Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra) himself this. What is the meaning of the universal basis? After asking like this. Kuntu Zangpo (Samantabhadra) said this. Universal is appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana. The basis is Bodhicitta. Universal is the condensed form of beings. The basis is the source of mind. Universal is

Arising appears as Dharma. The basis is the initial basis. Thus it is said. The union of appearance and existence, nectar essence drops. From the tantra of cutting off the beginning and end of samsara. The chapter on showing the definition of the alaya, the eighty-second chapter is complete. Then Vajrasattva. Asked Samantabhadra thus. How is the unerring Buddha? When asked thus. Samantabhadra spoke. The nature of the unerring Buddha is. Buddhahood is not achieved by effort. Buddhahood is already established in the mind. If what is accomplished does not deviate from its meaning. There is no need for common effort to achieve. Sit upright and look at the spontaneously accomplished. Looking does not see a single thing. That absence is seeing. The darkness of ignorance and samsara is dispelled. The gate of wisdom and awareness expands. The agitator of self-grasping afflictions is dispelled. Pure non-grasping wisdom expands. Thus it is said. The union of appearance and existence, nectar essence drops. From the tantra of cutting off the beginning and end of samsara. The chapter on showing the unerring Buddha, the eighty-third chapter is complete. Then Vajrasattva. Asked Samantabhadra thus. How is the unerring nirvana? When prayed thus. Samantabhadra spoke.
