Please enlighten me! In the uncorrected, spontaneous state, What designation can be applied to oneself? Therefore, because it is without practice, If characteristics arise, there is no need to correct them. In the great, self-arising view, How can non-practice not become a fault? Having asked thus, the command was bestowed: The essence is one's own power, And from the penetration of the guru's mind of the oral instructions, By the guru who has realized the lineage of awareness, In that which arises as it is, Because the non-appearing Dharmakaya itself is symbolized, Therefore, the entity of characteristics does not arise, Like the means of medicine and the doctor, What is separated from the absence of mind and desire? Therefore, listen to the heart essence of the gathering, Because the bindu is pervaded by the Dharmakaya, Because it arises spontaneously as suchness, If one does not regard anything as sacred, Everything is liberated in its own place as it is. Therefore, not abiding at the extremes, With the samadhi of no abandonment and no grasping, One abides in the state of uncorrected spontaneity. Now again, listen to the heart essence of the gathering, From the Dharmata that is without practice, Whatever conceptual characteristics arise, One should not intentionally make them clear through contemplation. For example, in this very sky, Clouds and vapors and so on, Just as they arise and then disappear, As suchness, through self-remembering, Simultaneous clarity is the truth, Therefore, there is no need to correct it with antidotes. Verbal expressions are said to be corrected by self-clarity. Now again, listen to the heart essence of the gathering, Because the objectless bindu arises spontaneously, Therefore, there is no fear of the true meaning, Having become the nature of self-being, Therefore, there is nothing to accomplish. Because there is no wavering, no difference between before and after, Therefore, there is no need to intentionally practice, It is separate from the meaning of focusing on an object. Not seeking meaning is like having no enemy. Therefore, the gathering again asked, In the practice of no abandonment and no grasping, What is meant by saying that disharmony does not arise? If the yogi is without effort and not distracted, What is meant by saying that there is no action and no cessation? Therefore, how is the teaching of freedom from extremes shown, Which does not bind that very nature? I beseech the all-knowing one to explain! The all-knowing Dharma Lord replied: In all aspects of the three times, Because wisdom arises primordially without birth and death, Even all the non-appearing attachments and thoughts, In whatever Dharmakaya is clear, How can abandonment, grasping, and effort arise? Because it abides in the expanse without changing, There is no disharmonious characteristic whatsoever. Now again, Vajrasattva, listen, All forms and characteristics, Knowing that they are not established on the ground, Self-clarity has no thought towards objects.

All pure and impure phenomena, because there is nothing to refute or establish, there is no meaning of setting up and taking. There is no need to meditate on that which has no arising and dissolving, because there is no effort, it is the supreme of conduct. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again, because self and other are not established from the root, so all actions and agents, the karma of the six realms and the deeds of the Sugatas, whatever is done, appears as wisdom in the Dharmakaya, there is no difference in anything, liberation is obtained from the action itself, there is naturally no taking and abandoning, so how can it become a bondage?

Then, the demon of pride entered, abandoning samadhi and going to the edge of the village. In between, it was half true and half untrue. In the end, everything spoken was a lie. Falling by being deceived by the deceiving demon, deceiving oneself. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. The demons of view are also those, because they do not understand the wrong path of the object. Attachment to appearances, forms, etc. When the mind enters the object, whatever is done is a demon. The words of the Great Perfection, the Wisdom of the Spontaneous Union, from the Tantra of the Wheel of Spontaneous Bliss, the chapter on showing the demon of the yogi's view, the twentieth. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. The dullness of the five senses is the demon of clarity. The oblivion of drowsiness is the demon of bliss. The agitation caused by conditions is the demon of non-thought. The demons of distraction and immovability arise. That is also the essence of the gathering. Listen. Wanting to quickly accomplish samadhi, practicing for a long time without gaining realization. In order to dispel the entrance of the demon of intoxication, being controlled by ignorance, one falls asleep. Abandoning clarity, one falls into dullness. Searching for that, samadhi is lost. Without searching, good and bad dreams arise. Therefore, one is deceived by the demon of dullness. That is also the essence of the gathering. Listen. Because one does not realize self-awareness as the Dharmakaya, wisdom is obscured by the power of ignorance. The demon of no-mind enters, abiding in meditation, drowsiness diminishes bliss. Because there is no self-awareness, peaceful abiding becomes dull. Because there is no insight, one is separated from meaning. Even if one meditates, it is meaningless, deceived by the demon. Therefore, the oral instructions of the lineage are precious. Now listen to the essence of the retinue again. Not liking to be alone, but liking to gather. Being influenced by others, the demon enters. Abandoning samadhi, one falls into right and wrong. Various attachments arise to objects. Without non-thought, afflictions arise. Abandoning and collecting attachments creates one's own stream. Therefore, one is deceived by the demon of distraction. Now listen to the essence of the retinue again. Because one has not repeatedly familiarized oneself, the demon of distraction, like a thief, enters. Whatever words, just a little. Thinking about it in the mind, one loses immovability. Because diligence is small, there is no experience. The lazy thief arises again and again. Because one does not have definite confidence, one falls because one is deceived by the demon of wavering. Now think well about the retinue. The demons of meditation are also those. They arise in those who do not have oral instructions. For those who have the lineage, harm cannot arise. Whatever one meditates on without realization becomes a demon. Great Perfection.
