Sa! From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Wheel of Bliss of Spontaneous Arising, Gathering of Meanings: The Fifty-fifth Chapter, which Reveals the Fruit of Perfected Wisdom. Then, to the assembled retinue, the Buddha spoke of the divisions of Buddhahood. First, the Buddha of the cause is the spontaneously arising Dharmakaya. The mind is in the darkness of the Alaya, obscured by spontaneously arising ignorance. Its definitive reason is that it is free from permanence and annihilation and does not recognize its own nature. The spontaneously arising essence abides continuously; both samsara and nirvana are complete in the mind. An example that illustrates its suchness is like sesame seeds pervaded by oil, and like space, A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), and vajra, it is illustrated by examples that are somewhat similar. Because the fruit is present within oneself, it does not depend on other causes and conditions. Therefore, since the spontaneously arising, all-pervading one has already accomplished the benefit of others, there is no need to seek it. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the gathering. The instantaneous enlightenment of realization is because, at the base of the essence of the Alaya, the meaning is shown by a qualified lama, ignorance is dispelled, and wisdom increases. Moreover, the reason for this conviction is that the arising of samsara and nirvana is sudden; one believes that it does not exist at the base. Therefore, one is free from the disease of effort. An example that illustrates its suchness is like raising a lamp in a dark room, like the rising of the sun at dawn, and like a blind person finding a jewel. Its definite result is that habitual tendencies and afflictions are suppressed, and self-awareness without an object is shown as the Dharmakaya. Moreover, this is the supreme fruit of conviction. Furthermore, listen, Vajrasattva. That Buddha who abides on the path is because his essence is definitely the basis of view, so clear superior seeing is constantly inseparable. Wisdom is recognized, and there is no distraction. Therefore, the great path is the expanse of the Dharmakaya. The reason for this conviction is that afflictions do not arise, habitual tendencies are gone, conceptual thoughts of acceptance and rejection are cleared away, ignorance is without obscuration, and wisdom increases. An example that illustrates its meaning is like a butter lamp not moved by the wind, like the sun shining naturally without clouds, and like a clear, unwavering ocean. The wisdom of the fruit is just that. By having conviction in a view that is full of certainty, self-aware wisdom arises manifestly, the supreme fruit of not falling into samsara. Furthermore, listen to the essence of the gathering. The Buddha who has manifest fruit is that one's own essence is the Dharmakaya; with wisdom-mind, he knows all things; in the definitive meaning, there is no change. Faith

The most certain reason is: In the bardo of being separated from the body, All obscurations of ignorance are cleared away, The wisdom of self-arisen awareness increases. Its similar example and illustration is: The wish-fulfilling jewel, the precious gem, Which produces all needs and desires, Is similar to the example of accomplishing whatever is thought. Its certain result is: In the self-aware Dharmakaya wisdom, The two form bodies arise simultaneously, Even when performing benefit for beings, there is no fault. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, Spontaneous Arising, All-Encompassing Blissful Wheel, the chapter on showing the distinctions of Buddhas, the fifty-sixth. The Teacher, Knower of All, also said: One who has the confidence of yogic realization, At the end of life, the moment of death, The earth, water, fire, and wind gradually dissolve, When the breath is drawn in gasping, The appearances of this life are setting, The appearances of the next life are dawning, When the appearance of consciousness arises, It is seen like smoke and mirage. It seems that the elements are dissolving and disintegrating, At that time, this appearance disappears, Self-appearance increases like the light of a firefly, A little bit of clarity is seen, At the time of obtaining appearance, It is difficult to ascertain like the tip of a butter lamp. Then, at the time when wisdom is stable, Like the sun rising at dawn, The self-aware Dharmakaya is clearly manifest, The objectless awareness is the self-arisen mind. That self-arisen nature, firmly established, Does not change due to the power of past habits, Like a magnet attracting iron, Because the self-aware Dharmakaya is recognized, Having six kinds of manifest wisdom and six kinds of recollection, Having five qualities of the bardo, Ignorance is cleared away and wisdom increases, Gathering all the qualities of the Buddha. Also, Vajrasattva, listen, The self-arisen, self-aware wisdom, Is clearly, distinctly, the wisdom is clear. Therefore, the self-arisen wisdom body, Afterwards, in the bardo, does not take a body, Does not enter into objects, has no attachment or aversion, Therefore, there is no entering into a womb. That is called a Buddha. From the Tantra of the Great Perfection, Spontaneous Arising, All-Encompassing Blissful Wheel, the chapter on showing the time of becoming a Buddha, the fifty-seventh. In the assembly, the Teacher also said: The activity of the Buddha's Dharmakaya is also, The Dharmakaya possessing the wisdom body, The pure, self-arisen wisdom mind, The awareness that knows all is clear, It is said to be the mind of all Buddhas, Sees all with the self-arisen eye, The one wisdom eye is without impurity.
