Maternal nature is like the darkness of the eight consciousnesses. Thus, the teachers of the Agamas, Regarding the four logical proofs of awareness are: Regarding this very appearance of objects, Through analysis, it is known to be without inherent existence. Whatever is meditated upon, clear and non-conceptual, Because it is the wisdom of hearing, It is awareness, not primordial wisdom. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering, Between mind and awareness, With the definitive instructions of the Agama, Appearances not examined by logic, Samsara and Nirvana, the Dharma body of ignorance. The awareness within the ground consciousness, Because it is the wisdom of thought, It is self-arisen, not definitive understanding. Like dawn without darkness. Now listen to Vajrasattva, Between primordial wisdom and the Dharma body, One with the wisdom of yogic awareness, Cutting off the continuum of sentient beings' wandering, Primordial wisdom is clear without cessation. Because it is the wisdom of meditation, In equanimity, there is no distraction, Post-meditation, without distraction, like a shadow, In the state of primordial wisdom, seek the Dharma body. Knowing this, being seized by conviction, Like sunrise without shadows. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering, The essence of mind is awareness, The essence of Buddha is primordial wisdom, The essence of Dharma is Dzogchen, The essence of elements is space, The essence of Samsara and Nirvana is intrinsic nature. To differentiate this meaning, I will explain in the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra, May future generations with faith realize it. From the Great Perfection Definitive Meaning Gathering, Chapter Seven, which shows the Essence Definitive Meaning Gathering. Then, to the assembled retinue, The all-knowing teacher, the Dharma Lord, Spoke in terms of examples and meanings: For example, Varanasi silk, Having been transformed by the condition of color, Although various colors appear, As silk, there is no difference, the nature is one. The appearances of the mind are various, Due to the conditions of objects and faculties, they appear separately, That also appears as a deluded mind, Therefore, appearances are uncertain. Inside crystal balls, Placing silks of various colors, Various colors will also appear, Although they appear, the crystal does not change. Likewise, in the self-arisen nature, Due to the conditions of grasping and being grasped, the six realms arise, In the face of delusion, various things appear, Although they appear, the ground does not change. Again, listen to the essence of the gathering, Having been transformed by the hands of a goldsmith, Made into a container for copper rust and urine, Even gold

Appears as a substance of evil. Likewise, if judged by delusion, the place is also impure, becoming a realm of the world, appearing as cliffs, abysses, dangerous places, and thorn pits. Just making golden statues and stupas, for the sake of accumulating merit, gold is also seen as a good substance. From the perspective of the wise, the place is also a completely pure pure land. In the essence of precious gold, the nature of gold has no good or bad. Likewise, in the essence of the Dharmakaya, appearance and non-appearance are not inherent. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. In the collection of various silks, just making brocade or wool, it is separated from the names of various silks, just like becoming a unique brocade or wool. Although the Dharmakaya is one's own mind, if it is shown by the cause of having scriptures, it is separated from the mind that grasps various things, and gathers into a single great bindu of light. For example, medicine and poison have the same essence, for some it is medicine, for some it is poison. Likewise, for this definitive Dharma, for some it is enlightenment, for some it is hell. Even the black poison of Hala, if taken with skillful means, it is the best medicine. Likewise, desire and hatred, when afflictions are liberated in their own place, that is self-born wisdom. Even the essence extraction of the King of Medicine, if one is not skilled in methods, not distinguishing good from bad, it is like the black poison of Hala. The Dharma nature residing in oneself, if without scriptures, dominated by delusion, desire and so on become the five poisons. Now listen to Vajrasattva again. The precious gold buried underground, if not recognized, is like a stone. Likewise, the meaning existing in oneself, the deluded mind without realization, if recognized and encountered, is an inexhaustible treasure, all needs and desires arise from it. Just realizing the ultimate Dharmakaya, it appears like a blessing jewel. Now listen to the essence of the gathering again. The appearance of stars in the sky, and the clear reflection in the water, are not the same, nor are they independent of each other. Likewise, the Dharma King of awareness, and the two that appear as the power of awareness, have opposition, seem different, but are the same in essence. The Great Perfection ultimate meaning, the eighth chapter on showing the gathering of metaphors and meanings from the gathering. Then, to the retinue of the gathering, King Kunrig (All-Knowing) spoke: Without creating causes and conditions, naturally arising, the wisdom without clarity or dimness, is not from diligent effort, completely not relying on the self-born path, not from external objects, inherently existing, realized by the cause of having scriptures.
