If true, then true is inherently equal. If false, then false is inherently equal. If empty, then emptiness is inherently equal. If real, then reality is inherently equal. If apparent, then appearance is inherently equal. Equality, like the sky, has no separation. For example, a golden statue and the froth of water. The supreme poison, the burning poison of hala, and the supreme medicine, white camphor, these two. Medicine and poison are inherently equal. Thus it is said. From the Tantra of the Supreme King, Chapter Twenty-Three, the Equality of Dharmata, the Dharmakaya Chapter, is complete. Then, again, Vajrapani asked thus: O, O, great Vajrasattva, is there or is there not a mistaken perception of self? Is the appearance of phenomena true or false? Is non-virtue to be abandoned, or not? Thus he asked. Vajrasattva replied: Listen, Vajra-holder and others! Cast away the corpse of no-self, you assembly of attendants! There is no duality between self and appearance. Where does the single no-self reside? For whom is appearance true without appearance? Where do phenomena and things reside? Virtue and non-virtue are of equal nature. No-self, no-owner, where is the self-owner? For whom does the self-owner exist, O attendants? What doubt is consumed by whom? Look at the self-owner, look at the self-owner! Even if you search and it exists, continue to search. When the searcher searches, there is no searcher. Even if you look and do not see, there is no seer. Look, O seer, there is no seer! For example, that phenomenon, the vajra, by what is its entity made? Is it made by a vase or made by a lotus? Is it made by the upper part or made by the lower part? Is it made by the aggregate, or what is the vajra? Likewise, that entity, the self-owner, is it made by the body or made by the mind? If it is made by the body, what is the entity? The head, limbs, faculties, and the old meaning, the inner organs, flesh, skin, bones, veins, body hair, head hair, and nails, which one? Therefore, there is no entity of the body. If it is made by the mind, then by what are clarity and emptiness, movement, memory, grasping, and attachment made? This entity of body and mind, Vajrasattva, I have not found. I merely call it "I" as a symbol. This mere name is pointed out thus, but Samantabhadra did not point it out. Vajrasattva cannot be symbolized. Is there no appearance, or what is appearance? To whom is a single object of appearance true? Truth and falsehood in an object depend on one thing. For example, like the elements of water, the six realms, the heretics, permanence and annihilation, and the nine levels, the appearances of views are different. There is not even one truth in name. For example, like China, Tibet, and Zhangzhung. This mere name is pointed out thus, the Vajra.

Supreme Bodhisattva is incomparable. Appearances, are they existent or nonexistent, illusion or non-illusion? If it's an illusion, is the illusion true or false? If the illusion is true, to whom is it true? If the illusion is false, then it's not like that. To the non-illusion, who says it's an appearance? If someone says, the one who says is deluded. Therefore, the object of dharma does not exist. If it exists, please determine the object. Once determined, what is the object? The one who believes in objects has great aspirations. No matter how one contemplates, it's still an illusion. A person with deep thoughts and a fortunate son. Virtue and vice are inherently equal. Why? To liberate the mind. Good virtues should not be abandoned. Evil cannot bring harm. Why? Because there are no characteristics, so there are no aspirations. For emptiness, there is no benefit or harm. Habitual tendencies are good thoughts and bad thoughts. Thoughts always create samsara. Within samsara, there are great differences. Practice virtue, son of noble family. Separate habitual tendencies from the corpse. If habitual tendencies are not separated from the corpse, the rope of grasping in samsara will not be cut. Uproot the basis of birth. Thus it was said. From the Tantra of the Supreme King. The twenty-fourth chapter, "Clearing the Obstacles of Doubt and Apprehension by Seeing the Face of the Dharmakaya," is complete. Then again, he spoke: Listen, assembly of Vajradhara. For example, various appearances, are just like magical illusions. What creates the objects of magical illusions? What creates the interdependent origination of magical illusions? For example, when a person falls asleep, the magic of good and evil in dreams is dreamed as if it were real. In the daytime, habitual tendencies manifest. Is there an object or not? For example, in last night's dream, many people with weapons kill me, fight, and enemies chase me to the mountains. Terrified, exhausted, and unable to escape, I run. When awakened, what does it appear as? Likewise, these objects of appearance, Mount Meru, the four continents, all elements, enemies, friends, attachment, hatred, all sufferings, are just like magical illusions and dreams. From existence, it becomes invisible; from non-existence, it appears. All phenomena that are seen and appear do not exist. The form of existence appearing from non-existence is an illusion. There is no existence during the time of illusion. To whom is it true only in conventional truth? Is it true? If it is true, all beings should all be in complete agreement. Therefore, there is not even a slight agreement. For example, objects like water. The six realms, permanence and annihilation, all vehicles, do not even show a slight agreement. Therefore, it appears from non-existence.
