Because it fully shows the way things are, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Complete Perfection within Dzogchen. Because it shows the great purity of view and meditation, without defilement, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Immaculate Kadag. Because it shows faults spontaneously becoming virtues, It is known as the Great Tantra of Spontaneous Fulfillment. Because it shows self-arisen wisdom arising within oneself, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Self-Arisen Wisdom. Because it eliminates the darkness of ignorance from its root, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Eliminating the Darkness of Ignorance. Because it empties samsara from its depths, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Emptying from the Depths. Because it cuts through all delusions from their root, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Cutting Through Delusions. Because it crosses the river of samsara with a boat, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Crossing Over in a Boat. Because it extracts the chronic disease of afflictions from its depths, It is known as the Tantra of the Great Physician. Because it completely destroys the four maras, It is regarded as the Great Tantra of Conquering the Maras. Because it shows the great meaning without remainder, It is known as the Tantra of Displaying Great Skill. Alas, alas! Ignorance and delusion are pitiable! Do not cling to deluded dharmas as true, Do not slander this, follow the clarity of meaning. Since you do not know the unchanging, self-arisen wisdom, Do not cling to objects and substances as true, Follow this clarity of meaning, free from elaboration. However, you will realize the unchanging permanence. Since you do not realize the peaceful dharmakaya, devoid of substance, Do not cling to the extreme of emptiness and nothingness. If you follow this clarity of meaning, However, you will realize emptiness and peace. Since you do not understand the two ways of reality and appearance, Do not cling to the extremes of duality as true. Do not slander it, follow the clarity of meaning. However, you will realize the non-dual self-appearance. Since you do not understand that the three kayas are without gathering and dispersing, Do not cling to the two stages of creation and completion, fabricated by the mind, as true. Then, the assembled gathering, headed by the Lord of Secrets and others, folded their palms and circumambulated many times, saying: Alas, alas! Blessed Vajradhara! For us, the assembled gathering, by explaining the tantra of luminous meaning free from elaboration, this tantra dispels the darkness of ignorance, this tantra cuts off samsara from its root, this tantra repels from the battlefield of afflictions, this tantra liberates from the four rivers, this tantra shakes from the pit of the lower realms, this tantra removes the filth of habitual patterns, this tantra cuts off all delusions, this tantra presents oneself to oneself, this tantra liberates from knowing one thing and all things, this tantra understands the great meaning of reality, this tantra cuts off the great harm of wrong views, this tantra separates the influence of the Lesser Vehicle, this tantra separates the essence and dregs of the elements, this tantra removes the five poisonous afflictions, this tantra makes effortless the path, this tantra makes self-arisen wisdom dawn, this tantra separates the essence and dregs of samsara, this tantra repels those who enter the wrong path, this tantra cuts off the root of this Dharma, this tantra unravels the great proclamation of the oral instruction tantra, this tantra obtains the complete three bodies, this tantra makes the five wisdoms dawn, this tantra sees the great realm unseen, this tantra sees the great face unseen, this tantra hears the great word unheard, this tantra ripens the elements, this tantra does liberation and absorption, this tantra recites the crossroads of samsara, this tantra obtains the effortless fruit.
