远离善业，因造作和积累使人疯狂的业，身体坏灭后堕入恶趣恶道，转生于有情地狱中。如果从那里死亡并转生到这里，与人们拥有相同的命运，那么无论他转生到哪里，都会变得疯狂，记忆变得模糊。因此，沉溺于欢乐的谷物酒和劣质酒的过患有这三十五种，应当认识到。如是说。 与此意义相同的内容，也在经部中的《分别》和《业转变》中有所阐述。为了便于理解这些内容，解释如下：饮酒之人，即使是富人，也不会稍微倾向于白色善法，也不会倾向于对自己极其重要的父母亲友等，而是将所有财富都用于饮酒。因为永远没有满足和厌足的时候，最终会耗尽所有财物。对于没有疾病的人，会新产生胆病、眼病、血瘀、水肿、肝脏衰竭等疾病。对于有疾病的人，无论进行多少医疗，都无法治愈，最终面临死亡。因饮酒而醉，可能会因坠马、坠崖、刀伤等各种意外而死亡，以至于许多代人都会因那是死亡之地而感到恐惧和回避。即使死后，腹中充满酸臭之物，内脏腐烂，甚至连抬尸者都会感到厌恶和羞耻。即使是原本善良的人，也会因饮酒而改变性格，有些人会口无遮拦，将秘密告诉敌人，对不该说的人说。徒劳的废话堆积如山。有些人会因伤心而无缘无故地生气。疯狂地哭喊，惊吓乡邻。甚至毫不犹豫地用刀剑殴打父母和亲友。有些人会因酒精上头而沾染污秽的粪便和泥浆奔跑。即使拥有大量的财产，也会挥霍浪费。由于这些原因，即使是以前没有仇恨的挚友，也会突然发生争斗。对于心怀仇恨的人，会引发仇恨，严重时会互相残杀，轻微时会引发重大纠纷。甚至在无意义的群体中也会引发争斗和纠纷，仅仅因为一次醉酒。

One becomes distant from virtuous actions, and due to creating and accumulating the karma of becoming insane, after the body breaks down, one falls into the lower realms and evil destinies, being born in the hells of sentient beings. If, after dying from there, one transmigrates and is born here, sharing the same fate as humans, then wherever one is born, one will become insane and one's memory will become unclear. Therefore, the faults of indulging in joyful grain alcohol and adulterated alcohol are these thirty-five, which should be recognized. Thus it is said. Similar in meaning to this, it is also explained in the Sutra section, in the "Differentiation" and "Transformation of Actions." To make these meanings easier to understand, it is explained as follows: Even if a person who drinks alcohol is wealthy, they will not incline even slightly towards the white, virtuous side, nor towards those who are extremely important to them, such as parents and relatives, but will spend all their wealth on alcohol. Because there is never satisfaction or contentment, eventually all wealth and possessions will be exhausted. For those without illness, new diseases such as bile disorders, eye diseases, blood disorders, edema, and liver failure will arise. For those who are already ill, no matter how much medical treatment is given, it will be incurable and lead to death. Intoxicated by alcohol, one may die from various accidents such as falling from a horse, falling off a cliff, or being injured by a knife, so that for many generations people will be wary and avoid that place, saying it is a place of death. Even after death, the stomach is filled with sour and foul-smelling substances, and the internal organs rot, so that even those who carry the corpse are disgusted and ashamed. Even if one is a good person, one's character will change after becoming intoxicated by alcohol. Some will speak without restraint, revealing secrets to enemies and speaking to those to whom they should not. Pointless chatter accumulates like a mountain. Some become angry for no reason, feeling hurt in their hearts. They frighten the villagers with mad cries and wailing. They do not hesitate to strike their parents and close friends with knives and weapons. Some become intoxicated and run around covered in unclean feces and mud. Even if they have great wealth, they waste and squander it. Due to these reasons, even if one was a close friend without previous animosity, they will suddenly engage in fighting. For those who harbor animosity, they will provoke the basis for hatred, and in severe cases, they will kill each other, and in minor cases, they will instigate major disputes. Even in meaningless gatherings, they will create fights and disputes, all because of a single instance of intoxication.

In short, no one praises drinking as good. Whether in religion or in the secular world, there is only criticism, because there are many critics, so it is always unpleasant. Intelligence and wisdom also decline, because intoxication with alcohol confuses the mind, and even if one thinks one is without fault, others see that everything one remembers is meaningless. The words from the mouth are repeated unclearly. Even if one is proficient in the five sciences, one cannot perform the three activities of teaching, debating, and writing. Even if one is a knowledgeable person, one will make wrong judgments and mistakes in matters such as subduing enemies, protecting relatives, doing business, and farming. After sobering up, one forgets everything one did and said, and remembers nothing. The intelligence and power to acquire new wealth and enjoyment that one did not have before are exhausted. Even what one already has is quickly exhausted, so that most people die of famine. Even secrets that should not be revealed are proclaimed without reservation, as if turning one's insides out to show them. If one is a vow-holder, the vows are broken. If one is an ordinary person, all secrets are known even by the enemy. Even the private parts of the body cannot be concealed and are exposed. Even one who does not lie will involuntarily tell many lies when intoxicated with alcohol. In short, the result of virtuous actions turns into unwholesome ones, and so on. People's respective work is delayed, or their thoughts and actions change, causing previous work to be unfinished and subsequent undertakings to be unsuccessful. Even those with great glory and power lose their radiance and glory, and are abandoned at the crossroads like the corpse of a beggar. The feet cannot support the body, and the hands cannot hold a bowl, becoming like a weak child, so that even if there are enemies, they find an opportunity. Non-humans steal the radiance.
